Do you think that pornography should be illegal?

I agree and disagree.

Agreement...
I agree because it is a bad thing for people to do. And even if it legal, it is against the Law so that if they do watch pornography, the are breaking the Law. I also think it should be illegal because in the Bible it says, PORN IS BAD!

Disagree...
I disagree because sometimes pornography is good. For example, when you are at a Sperm Bank, where do you think the sperm came from? You probably would suggest that the male used pornography to masturbate causing the sperm to come out. So, pornography could be used for a good thing.

This question is almost like saying, should eating junk foods be illegal? I mean both of them, are ok in moderation, bad if you do it too much. They both let you relieve some stress, and allow you to get by on those lonely weekends. So why isn't junk food banned? well because if it doesn't out right kill people, the government will not take action in getting it taken off the market. (i.e. the baby milk powder in china). Nao where is my easy button....

@Firefly.
It may be illegal but it makes no difference when it is not enforced.

Are you saying if it were legal it would not be enforced?

I'd say it would be pretty impossible to ban porn for one particular nation. I am envisaging a type of porno 'speakeasy' a la prohibition, where men and women go to seedy internet cafes to satisfy their urges. I can't help but chuckle.

Many countries have banned porn (mostly in the Middle-East and Africa). Of course, people still watch it; they just have to be careful because the punishments are harsh.

I don't watch porn but I don't think it should be illegal.
Let people watch what they want.

@jrmagic:

Pornography isn't two innocent couples ****ing together then filming and posting it on the world-wide web.

Sometimes it is. Some couples get off on that kind of stuff. The majority is a business though.. which makes it wrong why? So, if they're not innocent - you think having sex on camera as a career is a criminal act? Free market. Supply & Demand.

What I'm trying to say, is that pornography is a natural part of the world. I'm TOTALLY against it, and I DO think it should be banned

Okay.. so it's a natural part of the world.. and you think it should be banned - but you haven't said *why* it should be banned.

When you love someone, hopefully, the first thing you think of shouldn't be sex. All those people on the monitor that you are watching, they're doing it for money. They don't love each other.

So what? Lots of people don't love each other and have sex anyway for free. And who are you to dictate what people think of when they think of their lover?

Here's my advice to addicts, (I was/am one) don't think about it. If you have an urge look at it before it gets overwhelming. After you're done, for a few days you might look at it again, but don't worry. Sooner or later you will get bored and you'll want to do something else.

Now I'm really confused. Your advice to an addict is to keep feeding the addiction?

I can understand if you had a bad personal experience with pornography and you don't think it should be something readily available because you have a problem with it, but there's a key point with that:

Personal experience is not the basis for any rational argument. Just because you have a bad experience/addiction to pornography, does not mean that other people do, or will.

no

I know you're new..."azzhole", but here on Armor Games that would be considered spam. You need to post why you don't think pornography should be illegal. Also, I might consider changing your name before you get too far along, if you want to be respected.

Child porn should be illegal

It is illegal. I agree with you though. If you're going to participate in pornography I believe that you need to be at an age at which you can fully understand what you're doing. This in my opinion, would be at least 21. Sure, you're legally an adult at 18, but that doesn't mean that your brain is fully developed. At least at 21 your brain is fully developed for the most part, and you'll be able to make a much better decision. It's wrong to exploit children to that anyway. Whether they choose to be or not.

Ok, for one, if you're under 18 (21 in some places) it is illegal. Second, I think that to make it illegal for everyone just sounds like making a law just to make a law because I really cannot find anything super bad with doing it in the privacy of your own home. It's not bothering anyone nor is it hurting anyone or anything. Third, the pornography is one of the biggest businesses in the world and to shut that down in these troubled economic times would be one of the stupidest things ever. It would have all the politicians going "Oh, well we sure screwed things up..."

It is illegal. I agree with you though.

we should be clear here that if an actor/actress appears in a pornography and he/she is under 18, this is illegal for no matter what age you are in.

They don't have to go commit the crime anymore when there is porn available 24/7.

It might incline some non-sexual offenders to actually commit the crime. Watching nudity as opposed to touching it is very different.

Well one other reason, about 90% of the human population loves porn. 60% are men, 30% women, the other 10% is children disobeying age rules. Anyway science says that masturbation is healthy for a relationship and is good for stress relief, and well us guys would like to masturbate to porn. Although, I'm 17 (don't look it up, just felt like an interesting topic) I masturbate, but its not just for pleasure its to help me sleep at night, it tires me out, relieves my stress, relaxes my muscles, and gives me general happiness. Plus, It goes against constitution. So, Illegal porn.......F*** that S***

Sex forms a bond between those having the sex, so masturbating it likely to make someone only happy when they're alone. That's not a good habit to get into. And if you're masturbating to porn, guess how much more dependent you will become on that pron?
Anyway, I think porn is wrong and disgusting, but I'm not stupid enough to lie and say that it isn't a right. It's just a disturbing one.
