You know, this has been bugging me for about a year as I pieced it all together through rants in my brain. Ever since the slave ages, kids have not had full human rights in America. The closest to having full human rights was child labor, but that was something of slavery as it had tiny wages. Are children not human enough to have full human rights of freedom of speech, right to bear arms and earn a wages from doing something besides house chores?
Really, most kids may be barbaric and I'm not talking in the years of when you're an 8 year old but 13 year olds and 11-12 are pretty surpressed for an inner passion. Meaning, if you exploit it for a Minimum wage, you could make some good money if they like what they're doing.
Besides, the minority of adults gets special rights, why don't the minority of gifted kids get some special rights?

There special right is that they ARE gifted. We get to be in honors classes. We get better school because we have a higher chance of being something. The fact that your smart pretty much means, if you try, you going to make more then the stupid people.
Most kids arent smart enough or developed enough to have full rights.

You know that's the opinion that many people had of slaves, and even after slavery African Americans? Besides, I don't think that's a justified argument when "smart" is such a broad term. I know more about politics and am better at math than many adults, yet they may know more about science. There's no real way to measure "Smart". I can understand some things, like voting, since most people under 18 don't fully understand a lot of the issues, but some of us do. As for Human Rights, we're pretty much covered, except for Article 21, "Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives." Still, that's a minor one that makes sense, since I don't think the intention of this was to have 2-year-old's running for office
A lot of parents say like respect your elders and we aren't aloud to curse. I mean parents are aloud to be b****** to one and other. I just think that we do have human writes but we aren't aloud to show it.
You havent been onn the Earth long enough to have the rights. It as simple as that. Just the fact that you havent been having to get up and good to work or school or what ever for as many years is why you dont get the rights. I know it sucks but its true.
It's not that Children aren't considered humans, it's just that there are parts of their brian that have not developed completely which effect decision making, no matter how high the IQ score is, it won't always curb bad decisions that all children seem to make.

I highly disagree with that. Though we're probably going to get a better job than the average-duller minds, that doesn't mean that's a special RIGHT, we earned it, we don't have a right to be gifted.

That's some MORE close minded bull cr*p that I've seen on thi sforum. We've been here on earth to know what a circumfrence is yet most grandparents hadn't an idea what that or a white dwarf was until high school. We haven't been able to get up and go to work BECAUSE YOU WON'T LET US. We do go to school, as well.

My IQ is 164. . .and I'm well out of that phase. And I'm 12, btw. . .and I think that only children of a certain intelligence level should be able to., because mindless jocks that would be of no real help would be obstructive and obstreperous.
There is more work then nice little office jobs. Mechanics, I am great with tools, carpentry, farming, what ever.
Sadly, ican't get work any were, or just become an aprentice due to the god D*amn laws passed by our society. Schhol is something ireally do not see importance in. youl earn everything needed at around 5th grade. Then you strat repetting things, and it is just a waste. icould right now probably out work alot the adults. I mean just tinhk about it. Our bodys are in better physical condition. But they won't be. They make us stay in side, becuse we will get in troulbe. That is out of bordom. What are we supposed to do all day? We have school, come home and.........then what?
Now, if a 40 year old man is in (good shape) And we can out run, out lift, out bend, out whatever him with out any pain, then why can't do the work he has? I truely do NOt understand this.
Another thing to. People are allways complaning about how children never have to pay for anything, we don't know what it is like to buy your own things.....WELL HOW THE HELL CAN WE DO THAT IF WE HAVE NO JOBS!!!!!!
