What do you believe? Do you think teaching evolution in Biology classes in high school is acceptible? Discuss the topic and your opinion, but please keep it clean.

At my high school we're taught evolution alongside the belief that the Earth was created by a diety. So I'm ok with evolution being taught in high schools.

Please don't turn this into a big argument about whether evolution is real or not. Thanks!

This is actually a very small thread.

From my experience here I'd say it's wrong to call this a very small thread. I'd say 13 pages, in the world events forum anyway, is medium-large.

Firefly, the affect of the Grandfather paradox over a very very very long time will affect it too much, it'll make my mother do something different, get different children, they act different, 1 of them has children, they do something different, it goes on and on and on, it's not a direct change, but an amazing change over a large while, and btw you may want to look at the Mayans side, truly amazing stuff, Doomsday could be coming September 2012, if u don't believe me, watch this, the Mayan predictions are amazing - pin-point about everything they mentioned, here it is:

Regardless, you still haven't convinced me human evolution would play out any differently. Evolution occurs due to the environment. What you're saying would not affect the environment at all, just the people living in it.

I fail to see how Mayan predictions are relevant.

the mayan calender doesnt predict the end of the world in september 2012 (ive heard its supposed to be in december?) their calender resets because, for the first time in 26,000 years, the solar system, sun and planets (including pluto) will line up with the centor of the galaxy. So the calender ends because it resets. according to the mayans, were back at square one so to speak.

I already see a big off-topic split coming here, so if you want to chat about the Mayan dealio, just go to one of the other threads in this forum.

Let's keep this thread for the evolution/creationism debate.

Considering the commonness of mega-thread here, I'd call this smallish to medium.
