I have been researching this new theory of evolution.

The theory goes that there is a planet, called Kiamat or Tiamat, that comes to Earth every 3,600 years that came to Earth when we we first evolving, and helped man build the amazing structures we know of today. ie. pyramids, Stonehenge, etc.

People believe this theory because there are ancient texts that talk about Gods and Goddesses, and people flying on magical objects. The ancient Sumerians are an example of this. Another reason for people believing this is because they think primitive people back then couldn't have the information, or the intent to make these structures.

The other side of this theory is Aliens coming to Earth and creating humans. People believe this because we look nothing like anything on Earth. They say there must be a missing link. Other primates have 48 chromosomes we have 46 chromosomes. Also, other primates are a lot stronger than us. Where did our strength go?

Okay, now let's get on to the planet Tiamat. The planet supposedly struck Earth and moved into Earth's orbit. So now it comes by every 3,600 years.

There's a lot more information on this subject but I can't seem to find all of it. If you have anymore questions, just Google it.

Okay here's the discussion. Do you think the theories are true? Do you have anything to add to these theories?

You don't have to facepalm me... If you think about it, the theory does make a lot of sense.

Stargate SG-1 plays on this theory.

Really? I've never seen Stargate and I'm not even sure of what it is. Movie? Show?

I know there are things that we can't quite explain but that doesn't make it okay to come up with some half-baked theory that explains it all. I mean its just not supported by any physical evidence.

Stargate SG-1 plays on this theory.

excuse me but Stargate doesn't play on any theory its a real life documentary ok

Because you researched every fact it mentioned to make sure it was correct, right?

That actually makes alot of sense, but If aliens of some sort had enough technology to somehow get on to our planet, wouldn't they help us more, why not, it is very smart and reasonable, but I don't think I can stretch civilizations that far.

A planet that would cross Earth's orbit every 3,600 years would have to be pretty darn close to us on a cosmic scale. Planets don't move that fast, so it simply can't be that far away. Astronomers make observations of distant galaxies that are millions of light years away, and this planet isn't going anywhere near the speed of light. Now, granted planets aren't bright like stars are, but it would seem the existence of this planet could nonetheless be pretty easily confirmed.
You would also have to wonder about the development of intelligent life on this planet. Our sun would certainly be the only source of energy this planet would encounter along its 3600 year orbital period, so the vast majority of the time there would be very little, if any, source of energy on the planet for the development of life at all. Come to think of it, a planet like this would probably not even have the opportunity to even develop an atmosphere along its lonely and rather bleak journey through the cosmos. So yeah, I don't see any justification at all for these alien civilization theories.

You would think that we would know about a tenth planet seeing how much we know about everything else out there. In general, I just don't see enough reliable evidence. I believe it's more of a "lets theorize this because it's believable" thing.

it could be possible but as moegreche said it would have to be pretty close and we would have already found it anyway in about 1600 years we will find out if its true or not.

Looking around on this topic is very interesting (and funny). A planet hit the Earth tilting it on its axis and making the moon. (I know of the theory that in the early days of the Earth a planet named Theia collided with us and made the moon etc. but not "Nibiru&quot The other part of the theoryt hat doesn't work out is that another collision will take place destoying Earth in May 2003. Now thats a small hole in the theory

Stargate SG-1 plays on this theory.

Yep... watch it on hulu... The Gua'old are a race of parasitic organizism that use humans as hosts and pretend to be gods... from where I am in the series, they have said nothing about God almighty, but they did mention Satan who is portrayed as a Gua'old named Socar who controls a volcanic planet with the name of something like Teebo...

Honestly, I think its like any other conspiracy theory. Its great for sci-fi, but thats all it is. If they really did help us, they wouldn't leave. If there were aliens that know we are here, they would either help (unlikely), leave us alone (most likely), or destroy us (plausible) if we are deemed a threat which we aren't... yet.. (Give us a thousand years and we'll probably be going through wormholes and have all sorts of ships, weapons and tech...)

This theory flies in the face of the concept of "Contamination" in which one advanced species gives knowledge or technology to far advanced to be beneficial to the greater good of another species. Ex: aliens give us an anti-matter reactor and we use it to blow up Eurasia...

Honestly, the technology they used just died when Rome fell and the Library of Alexandria burned. This caused the Dark Ages which were the period in which we essentially had to start over. If it had not been for that, we would likely be colonizing space right now...
