STORY
When a new disease escapes when the truck transporting it to a top=secret lab crashes, it makes world news. Shortly there after, 95% of the population is killed, .5% of the population is immune and the other 4.5% are well...dead...living...er...ZOMBIES! (dramatic music). The world is up for grabs as you battle the zombies in a wild test for survival!
(sounds like a tv gameshow...)
Classes:
Soilder: good with weapons, CQC (close quarters combat) Medic: heals people, best weapon is is SMG (sub machine gun) Heavy Demo: good with explosions, traps, etc. Similar to engineer, as he can build/repair things. Scout: good with rifles (sniper, or standerd)can also detect zombies. Officer: Really good with pistols. Gives tactics and is over all in charge of what ever group he is in. Also need to be smart, one wrong move and theres a new zombie in town...
you scope the place out, and deem it safe. You run up to the doors, and...its locked. Bummer. Do you...
1) blow a hole in the door. HE (High Explosive) grenades FTW 2) try and find another way in 3) hack into the system, and use the codes to open the door 4) leave
Name: Adrian Age: 22 Class: Engineer Gender: Male Armor: Clothes Perks: Resist, Wraith, Metal Monkey Workman Inventory: Rocket Launcher, Knife Allies: Pilot Johanssen
3) Hack into the system and at the same time salvage valuable techs for later use in traps and advanced techs.
If you're imagination for the techs is running low it could be: Encryption coder Battery Coding software chip Processing chip And whatever else you can think of
You pry open the security hatch and hack into the mainframe. After several fruitless minutes, you manage to open the front doors. Your in. Do you...
1) go to the food court and look for supplies 2) go to a sporting good's store and look for weapons 3) go to a teck store (apple, sony, etc) 4) go look for some beef jerky
Name: Adrian Age: 22 Class: Engineer Gender: Male Armor: Clothes Perks: Resist, Wraith, Metal Monkey Workman Inventory: Rocket Launcher, Knife Allies: Pilot Johanssen
4) Grab some beef jerky XD nah I really mean...
3) and go to an Apple Store and iMac and iPhone FTW ) Harvest time. Also can I send Johanssen off to the sporting goods store to look for weapons. He can take my knife to help him.
as you run towards the source of the cry for help, the light s flicker, then fade. with nobody to tend to the wiring, it was only a matter of time. You dash into the sporting goods store, and see Johanseen un concious underneath a pushed over shelf. his legs are crushed, and you cant move him. Pretty soon, its night fall.
As night falls, you hear a scuttling noise in the corner of the store. Grabbing the knife, you head over. Zombie. The stench of death hits you before you see it. You stop and try to make a plan. Do you...
1) go back and try to protect Johanssen. 2) ambush the zombie from behind 3) charge the zombie in a suicidal attack 4) gamble johanssens life and run back to the food court to get your rocket launcher
You catch the zombie unawares and attack! the first swip gets though the spin, and as its body falls, the next swip severs the spinal cord. You see a pile of magazines on survival, DUI, etc, and ste them on fire. They go up in smoke, and as the place burns, you run towards Johanssen. Your almost there, when you trip over a shotgun. You grab it, and blast the shelf. It desentergrates under the buck shot, and you manage to pull Johanssen out before the sporting goods section go's up. Finnaly, the sprinklers come on. Johanssens legs are smashed. He cant walk, and his survival is in question. You decide to...
1) perform a mercy kill on Johanssen. End his misery... 2) try and bandage up his wounds using your shirt, but, your no doctor... 3) look for medical supplies 4) leave him.
Name: Adrian Age: 22 Class: Engineer Gender: Male Armor: Clothes Perks: Resist, Wraith, Metal Monkey Workman Inventory: Rocket Launcher, Knife, Laptop, Shotgun Allies: Pilot Johanssen
1) End his life like a soldiers life. Quick back of the neck stab should make him feel nothing... Hack the wiring again for the lighting and harvest any uneeded wires.
the lights come on...barely, and there much dimmer. they wont last for long. You are once again, alone. your almost out of supplies, and you have no drinkable water. Your best option is to leave, as Johanssen's body will attract zombies. But its up to you. You decide to...
1) go to the food court, you need food after all 2) go to the woods, you can get food by hunting 3) go to a 7/11 4) go back to the subhurbs
One thing, you cannot return a zombie to normal, because what solanum does is: It is a virus that causes the body to malfunction. The body shuts itself down to avoid infection, but it is delayed in the response, and the spinal cord is active. By the time the spinal cord contacts the brain, the brain has shut itself down. Thus, the zombie can't speak, or think. Once a human has shut its system down, since there is no way of safely removing the virus (like aids, if bleach didn't kill people, it would be used to cure aids), the human doesn't come out of the "coma", and stays as a zombie forever.

yea, i kno, this particular virus has an incubation period on humans, dogs, etc. I was gonna release that face in a prequel if this RPG went well. I thought this all up last night so im sure i missed stuff.
Anyways, doesnt it add a special 'twist' to it? originally the Half'y was gonna be like a 'reset' of sorts for players who made a mistake, not enough to actually get killed, or if they just started and did get killed. Kinda like insurance. AS players progress into the game, the Half'y syndrome all together dissapeers, as the virus becomes stronger (ie, players become more progressed, better, etc)
I understand that this condition (half'y) doesnt exist, and cant exist, i only did it to better help the players. Applying it to Pilot Johanssen was a mistake, but it resolved itsself because Pilot Johanssen was mercy kill'd by another player.
