A little thing I noticed about most religions. If most religions say you are going to Hell if you don't follow their faith than aren't we all going to either Hell or Heaven for not following/ following said religions? Just wondering your thoughts on this and if anyone else has also noticed this.

Ya I guess you're right. I find that ridiculous, why should we go to Hell just because we don't believe the same as them? I mean I know they say that God is deciding, but they don't have evidence there is a God. So it's basically them just saying that we're going to Hell.

Well I'm on to a new thread, see ya all in Hell

Lol.

Telling us that if we don't join their religion, we'll go to hell, That seems pretty desperate. :P

If Every religion is right, then I guess we're all going to hell, no? Oh well. Imma go do Agnostic stuff now.

This shows that at it's base, religion is not accepting of the opinions of others.

If you don't pray to the same invisible almighty man as me, you'll burn in a pit of searing flame for all eternity after you die.

VERY friendly to others, no?

I agree with Alt. Now, ask yourself. What would Jesus do?

There a few reasons for this.
One is that people like to think they are right, i.e. 'im right your wrong'. Its just human nature.

Two it lets followers or the religion think they are doing right when they forcefully convert others, which will allow them to spread their religion quickly.

Three a punish/reward system is appealing and makes people dont what you want.

Lastly people in control of these religions are evil, mad with power, control freak, assholes fucktards. :P

I get that a lot. "If you don't go to church then you are going to hell." Uhh no! I believe in god and everything but I just do not go to church.

This is always going to be a controversial subject. I am a christian; but I think one reason why this occurs is because every religion thinks that they are right and all other religions are wrong, like caucasiafro said. Why can't we all get along?!

Not all religions believe that you will go to Hell if you don't follow their faith. Maybe some Christian denominations believe that, but I don't.

I don't understand. Only one religion can be correct, or none. But not more than one. This might sound like it makes sense, but read it carefully and it actually doesn't. If religion A says the followers of religion A will go to heaven and the followers of religion B will go to Hell, and religion B says the followers of religion B will go to heaven and the followers of religion A will go to Hell, they can't BOTH be right. One might be right, but they can't coexist.

That's why I'm a supporter of Buddhism.

Again, the question "What would Jesus do?" arises. If Kohlberg was right, and Jesus was indeed a six, would he send you to Hell for not accepting him as your savior?

Not typical Jesus like behavior, am I right?

Clarrification: What doesn't make sense is the quote I have, not the example I have below. Sorry for the confusion, anybody who took the time to read my post.

Ah well. I suppose his dad is a douche.

But still, Jesus isn't a great Jesus if he sends people to Hell.
