A little thing I noticed about most religions. If most religions say you are going to Hell if you don't follow their faith than aren't we all going to either Hell or Heaven for not following/ following said religions? Just wondering your thoughts on this and if anyone else has also noticed this.

would he send you to Hell for not accepting him as your savior?

As atheists are quick to point out, there's nothing great about being a good person if you know there's a reward for it. In my Christian beliefs, you have to be a good person to go to heaven because, indeed, Jesus looked past religion then and I believe he does now. But if you decide to be a good person once you are condemned to Hell, you know that you have to be good to receive. So heaven and Hell are simply the seperations of good and bad people. We all have a choice whether to be good or bad, so if I'm right about my beliefs, there'll be a fair amount of diversity in heaven.

But still, Jesus isn't a great Jesus if he sends people to Hell.

In the Catholic faith, it is ultimately up to you whether you make it or not. It is your choice to go to heaven or to hell. I always saw it as your status of making it to heaven or not, is based not on the good deeds you do, but the abscence of bad deeds.

But then where do the claims of going to Hell by not accepting Jesus as your savior come from.

I'm confused....

Hell doesn't seem a comfortable place, but if exists only the worst persons would go there.

Well, that depends upon your definition of "worst persons". Maybe that's someone who doesn't believe in Christ, but spends his whole life trying to improve the world.

Or, maybe that means someone who raped his own daughter. You can't know the real interpretation. It varies.

I have asked all my religion teachers at school and they say, that if someone is good, even though he doesn't believe in Christ he will go to paradise.

What religion do you believe in goumas?

And "worst persons," is a very subjective term. Some good people still deny Christ.

But then where do the claims of going to Hell by not accepting Jesus as your savior come from.

Well I was assuming that in the instance you are a follower of Christ.

I am orthodox, though I am not a huge fan of religions, but I go every Easter to church.

Is a god that only allows you entry to their afterlife paradise ,or heaven, if you follow the religion truly a "good" god?

I Just had to say that.

I don't think Hell exists. Anyway, the religious people (not me) say that God decides the personality of people. Does God want them to burn in hell?

Just to clarify this I was trying to say that A. We are all going to Heaven for following our religions or B. We are all going to Hell for not following the right religion.

It's pretty stupid that some people believe in Heaven and Hell. I'm an Atheist. Heaven... Trillions of miles above us in the clouds or beyond space... Yeah... When we die it'll take like a billion years for us to get there. There's no such thing as ghosts. Maybe Jesus was real and everything but there were just crazy people who exaggerated it and wrote it down in "The Bible." It's just fake. Angels who have wings and fly around with a musical instrument in there hand. Right? No... It sounds pretty ridiculous to me but I don't know about you. Hell... Yeah we'd probably go down and there and realize that we'd melt immediately. I think we would have noticed if there actually was such a thing as hell. IN THE EARTH??? FAIL! If there was God or the devil then at least one of them would have showed themselves by now! It really is fake and to think that you actually believe in either of them is pretty sad... Like the part when the guy spread the ocean in half so they could get across? Two words. My ass. I can't believe there are actually people who believe in it. When you are dead you're dead. That's all there is to it... There's no actual proof or anything and if you say The Bible as proof then I'll just say. Wheres the bibles proof? There is none... The only reason people who believe in God is because when they die they want to have another life and for it not to be over... So get over it. Not everyone is like that. The rest of the people are just crazy to believe it. Hell if you believe in it and want to go there you're just 100% plain crazy already... Enough said... Fake. When you die you die. You only have one life get over it and use it wisely and don't use it praising some fake guy that doesn't exist.

There are actually different reasons of going to hell. (srsly.)
Baptists believe in PREDESTINATON (dun dun dunn)
which is when god picks whether you go to heaven or hell before your born. Which leaves me the question, if god is merciful and forgiving then why would he pick anyone to go to hell? And what if you were going to hell but your like Mother Theresa?
Their belief is confusing.
(I am going to go eat will post with more resarch later.)
