I still wonder what was going on precisely in mine.

Dreams... Zzzzzz...

You seem to be taking a current trend into blue fantasy animals. A lot of turquoise and some brown. Explanation?

You have a beautiful imagination and a talented hand to put what you dream into a drawing. I generally just dream on... Through school.

It's all the same kind of creature. I'm just getting it's anatomy down on &quotaper" so it doesn't disappear in my memory.
... Where's the brown? Oh wait, the saddle...

This kitten looks much better. Now one can see the Flyvkrae's body structure. I would describe one as Strong, fast and Cute.

I never work with markers. :P (Mostly because good ones are effing expensive.)

If compared to the first kitten, yes~ If you're comparing to the adult, I'll disagree, although the adult's wing does hide a bit much from view.

I would describe one as Strong, fast and Cute.
Cute is a subjective adjective here (Cen finds them kinda scary), but strong and fast for sure~

Actually that sounds like some pretty cheap markers compared to the ones I've had opportunity to test. Markers are fun... But good ones are like gwah, money. D: I tend to stick with my acrylics, water colour pencils, regular pencils, ball point pens and various other types of pen... Or just the digital for ease.

Markers are for little kids and people who know how to use them correctly. I prefer chalk and if possible, oil paints (Which are so fun!).

... Where's the brown? Oh wait, the saddle...

Actually I meant the feet of the different versions, but yes, the saddle is brown too.

We're so jealous... Nice to see you can get your hands on some. I haven't seen any markers here that seem any good, they're all 5$ for a ten pack, with nothing special inside.

I kinda resent that.

like most people who go into industrial design/architecture/ animation those people all use markers

Read the rest of the sentence. I also said 'and people who know how to use them'.

That's a brand, right? There aren't many here, all the expensive school art supplies get imported from the States (Else we'd just be coloring with cheap crayons and pencils).

Do you know a lot about bird anatomy, Zophia? I guess it would come in handy for drawing a Flyvkrae. Explanation for name, other that it sounds like fantasy?

I know, but to even think of that is kinda demeaning. because you put the association of "markers" with little kids in the beginning. I know what you said later. I was just kinda stuck on the first part.

I THINK prismacolor might be international, Im not sure, but they are something to invest in as they are a beautiful set of alcohol based colors

"Fly(ing) critter", basically. Who needs awesome names, when you can be obvious?

Lucky~~~

The feet scales are bright orange on the adult. :P They do start out quite dark and desaturated, though, and that's... Brownish. Thanks for clarifying~

Naw, I've just been looking at skeletons and feeling around on ducks, geese, chickens and a cockatoo to figure out how their muscles and bones connect. I try to draw talons and wing muscles believable, but I'm' really just winging it.

What Cen said. "Flyv" being short for "flyvende" (flying), and "krae" essentially just meaning critter. That was the "working title/nickname" I referred to it with during the design face, and it got to keep that name because, as you say, it does have kind of a fantasy ring to it.

On a side-note, you guys are making me sadface for not having any good irl media to work with. :<

Also, this. Feedback here is appreciated too.
