I understand what you mean now, it just stopped working on mine too.
Evil, isn't it? D:
Paper could work... Why not just try it with all textures and see which one you like best? Though I think you'll probably just end up choosing paper anyway, it hardly ever fails.
Ah, but I don't actually have any paper textures. Tried the default Photoshop filler textures, they suck, so looking for one to download...
Weird, I thought me and Zophia had a Mac...
I do have a Mac.
The big circle is a diagram with a description of major parts of the body, right? It's fine where it is.
Big circle = Full body profile view, with some info written in where ever space is left. Woop~
*Something noteworthy- If you're doing a sort of scientific database, that's sort of biased (Like me). But because you're not a scientist and these are imaginary creatures, it could be allowed.
With my sample creature that circle seems a little unnecessary, but most of my creatures have some sort of physical trait that is worth highlighting - like how a dragon spews its fire, how a particular horn grows, how a hand latches on to branches... This is why I've included it.
*Spare details/how foot looks like: Not needed, and if you were to add it, you'd have to make it bigger.
Same as above, but for things that are less noticable/noteworthy. This is the part of the sheet that I most question the necessity of. I'm not keen on removing it completely (I'd have to move most of the rest of the layout around), but I'd love some suggestions on something more specific to note down there.
*The food diagram should be part of the information. Makes it easier for the looker ('Wats dat? A turnip or a chicken wing?'
I'm convinced you wouldn't be making this comment if it was a completed sheet, as the scribbles in the speech bubble are going to be drawn properly.
Very valid point, though, cheers for the input, will possibly mean I do add labels as well as proper illustrations~
Might I ask you what the double-egg bubble containing a kangoroish animal is? Is it an image of how the babies look like? If yes, then that's fine too.
You're more or less right; the space is for showing a young one (cub, chicken, whelp, foal, kitten, whatever the kid would be called), possibly eggs, other things related to reproduction (not genitals, though).
I'd make the information box a bit bigger. You know, incase you want to add minor details
Which box?
I won't be adding
minor details to sheets. I find sheets with a lot of text on them end up looking horribly cluttered, and therefore intend to write any "extra" info in the 'artist comments' section of where I upload them. The sheets will get (hopefully) thorough illustrations and little snippets of info to fill out the impression of the critter.
Over all, a pretty good template, and if you want to leave it, it would work.
Whee~ Been getting useful comments on it, so far I think I'll be sticking to the current layout but maybe change how I'm gonna do a few things/where some info will be~
