So let's get back on topic. Why or why not should animals be slaugtered?

slaughtered for food, yes. For sport, or cruelly, no.

I agree. I think animals should be killed in a kinder (if that is possible) way.

Nah. Painkillers don't work. I don't like the fact that there hit with iron bars or beaten to death. Hasn't anyone heard of just cutting its neck? Safest way possible, you get most of the blood out, as long as you're sanitary with gloves.. I see no reason why its not the best way.

Also, I'm against overkilling.

They do cut the necks. The animals are still alive. Maybe they should try lethal injection.

I believe the reason they don't do that is from fear of posioning the meat. I saw break the neck so they dont feel anything and is a quick death.

If you can kill one by breaking, you can surely get a kill from getting a full throughcut.

Lethal Injection takes at least 3 minuites of suffering, could poison meat, and economically getting it shipped, buying it in large amounts could hurt the meat owners buisness. Rather kill it yourself.

Also, when you cut an Animal from the neck it dies a quick death, thats what it deserves, and then you can go to preparing it.

I see no reason why it should be beat, or cut in any other area. [Because for most animals, if, for example you slash a cow in the stomach it will suffer before death. Not the neck.

Well they do kill the animals in horrible ways. For fir coats, they even skin the animal alive, and they are still alive after the skinning.

I don't wear fur, but I do wear (and make shit out of) leather, especially for LARPing (Live Action Role Playing if anyone didn't know). But I'm pretty sure the cow WOULD die if its hide were removed, albeit very painfully. If, on cows, we would slit the throat, take the hide and use it for leather, then take the meat, we'd have a much more efficient system. It could all be done mechanically, thereby eliminating the possibility of anyone mistreating animals that were on the way to die. The animal would be harnessed and put onto a conveyer. When it reached a certain machine, it would, using a laser-guided camera, determine the location of the throat, quickly pierce the two inches of the neck, allow the blood to run down, let the corpse continue down the line. Want to make it even more merciful? Knock them out with a mechanical concussive blow to the head when first harnessed. That way they can't even fear the machine. Ah, I'm such a sick bastard.

Yes you are, but that would be a very efficient way to kill the animals, use all of them, and minimize their suffering.

FYI: The main feature of bleeding to death is slipping in and out of consciousness as your body gradually loses the ability to supply oxygen to the brain, and also the feeling of intense cold as your various organs lose perfusion. I can't say whether it's an entirely unpleasant way to die as I've never had that kind of blood loss before.

Though to be sure, I think the quickest and least unpleasant method of death is severing the brainstem. It would also probably be more reliable than concussion.
