Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.
The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.
We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc
This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis
Satanism is the religious name of atheism. NOT Satanic worship.
Atheism was called Satanism in the 1800s and early 1900s, and it's still called satanism in some places. Satanism is not psycho. It's the same thing as atheism, just with a different name. You're looking for Satanic worship if you want to talk about people who worship Satan -_-
I used to have a REALLY freaky satan mask, and kept it hanging in my locker all year, in a way that it leaned up against the locker door a little bit, so you'd open it up and have Satan flying at you whenever you opened it up.
needless to say, IT WAS THE MOTHER FUCKING SHIT. i miss that mask.
I take snazzy doesn't know me well enough to appreciate my humor..
I am a agnostic for the record. But I engage in Satanistic rituals from time to time. I sacrifice living human mortals to the Almighty Lucifer himself.

Not entirely correct. You do have groups of people who are satanists because the worship the theistic being Satan as a deity. The second form, closer to what you refer to would regard Satan in a symbolic gesture and often see that each individual is there own supreme being, thus worshiping themselves.
An atheist is simply someone with a lack of belief of a god or gods. So while it is possible for an atheist to also be a satanist it doesn't mean the same thing since not all atheists follow such practices.
What I remember reading is that a satanist is a person who doesn't believe sin affects us negatively after we die or something like that.
That statement never really came up when I have spoken to satanists but I would guess that a person would kind of have to believe that to be a satanist.
Also I have to agree with Alan Moore: To some degree Satanism is purely a kind of disease of Christianity. You've got to really be Christian to believe in Satan.
When you misinterpret the things written in the Bible the result is Satanism. All the stories about Satan can impress persons a lot, so many come to the conclusion that Satan is stronger than god. The Satanists are fascinated by this "evil" powerful creature, which when it's adored it's followers are allowed to be bad and not respect the rules of society (and also never die). It's probably a form of very religious and anti-social behaviour.
