Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.
The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.
We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc
This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis
Yes, both Calvinism and predestination. same idea.
but it's a good theory. if a god created us, then wouldn't that god have created which of us are good and which of us are bad? the other views make it seem like a god created us for his own amusement purposes. which, makes sense as well, because if he's/she's some omnipotent ruler then they would get pretty bored making people do things all the time. after 5.6 billion years, ruling this earth would be pretty uniform and slow.
Actually if you read the epistles of Paul or the words of Christ addressing the 7 churches in Revelation you will find since the beginning there have been very large differences in deed and belief. When Constantine made Christianity the official religion and blended it with Paganism many different types of Churches came together to attempt to work out there differences, but as you can see they failed.
