Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.

The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.

We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc

This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis

By all means go ahead...just that this thread is a tad old, the last post was January 7th, 2010.

Reasoning and common sense has no place in this thread. Shoo.

If you ask me, Christianity is more logical then atheism/science/the Big Bang
.

Occam Razor; Omnipotent being or relative chaos with define rules?

Since when has an explosion created matter?

Not the same explosion as the one you're thinking of. Also it's entirely plausible, energy == matter.

There's no answer; God existed before time itself, therefore saying "since when" doesn't apply to Him.

Time is a human construct, so is god. Time is defined before god so time has existed before god.

Really? You mean the sciences that have been proved, improved, proved and modified again for centuries upon centuries? Please, please, please look things up before you say it. Darkroot already covered the explosion thing.

Reasoning and common sense has no place in this thread. Shoo.

Trolololol.

I feel a bit bad for Waffle. He only wanted to find a thread where Atheists wouldn't fine him...sorry, dude.

Since when has an explosion created matter? Never.

No one is stating this. If you mean the Big Bang it's just the expansion of the universe, not an explosion. There is nothing in there stating the Big Bang created matter, which would go against the laws of physics.

It's hard seeing you all vehemently arguing and flaming people's beliefs, but you're all trying to fit God in a little box, something that you think God is. Well, the God I believe in is too big for your little box

I'm just waiting for the thread to be locked for being a necro.

but you're all trying to fit God in a little box, something that you think God is. Well, the God I believe in is too big for your little box

Think what you want. But if you come onto a public debate forum, you're going to have to prove you're not just talking out of your ***.

It's a freedom to respond to something you don't think is correct, also no is is flaming you. Responding is not flaming but making random stuff up is.

No, my box is infinite but it's confined to the imaginary world with all my imaginary friends.

I don't have to prove anything

Again, My God and your definition of God differ greatly

If you believe in a deity, than the burden of proof is on you.

Again, My God and your definition of God differ greatly

Then could you stat your definition of "God" and what it's name is? I like to know what god to flame.

I don't have to prove anything to you, for the simple fact that I don't.

Then it is a fact that you are probably wrong. And when I say probably, I mean there is a better chance that I spontaneously combust at random.

Actually he doesn't. He has no legal, moral, or any type of obligation to prove what he believes.

What statistics are you basing this off of, I have seen no proof that dieties do not exist.

Alas, we also have not found proof that they do exist.

I think Atheists main argument is that since we have no proof if does exist, that means it doesn't at all. That's like saying just because I can't see it, it's not there.
