What's with the idea that Nu-mettalists don't have any talent? Sure, many songs don't have in-depth solos, but why does that mean they have less skill? Have you heard Psychosocial? That has a dual solo, Mick Thompson and Jim Root. Can that be described as skill, can't it? Linkin Park's drummer whacked off a 3 minuet solo from nowhere during a live performance in Milton Keynes. That can be described as talent, can't it? Even vocals is an instrument. Evanescence are sometimes classed as nu-metal, and Amy Lee is just about the one of the best vocalists there is. Tha is talent, isn't it?
Nu-Metal isn't bad, well most of it is but whatever, it's just that most nu-metal bands aren't even metal. If it didn't have the word "metal" in it then i think it would be more tolerable.
because NU metal bands come in with there softer, more alternative sounds and call themselves metal. it becomes a disgrace to the metal fan base and to true metal bands alike. NU metal is nothing more than alternative bands that want to hop on the metal bandwagon as the alternative hits dwindle on the charts and the metal hits rise.

Yes they are. They have rap influence, therefore they are nu-metal It's stated like everywhere that they are... Mushroomhead sounds a lot like Slipknot.
How can they have rap influence? 'cus he sings a bit faster than others? Maybe cus they have SPEED METAL influence. >.< I've even heard them say they're their own metal, don't say they're not.
Have you never heard of any of their earlier albums? Singing fast has nothing to do with speed metal, in speed metal vocals are more high pitched with a vibrato type range. They can list themselves as whatever metal they want, but in reality it is the fans who call it what it is. You've probably never even heard of Siouxsie and the Banshees as your probably to young, but she hated being affiliated with the goth sub-genre but to this day people still consider her and her band to be just that, she even made a few attempts to change her style.
You probably wouldn't believe that the Red hot chili peppers have hip-hop influences as well. Maybe you should try listening to the lyrics and performances of said lyrics instead of the speed at which it is said...
