All of the Star Wars books (even though that sounds nerdy).
There's about 30 of them o.O but they're not little comic books. Anyways they are all made up of little series so if I had to pick one I'd pick the Darth Bane series.
I choose not to read that much. I get too distracted by PS3 and stuff like that, but pick up any of Steven King's books. They're genius. Also, read some of Richard Dawkin's books. Even if you don't like books concerning Science, or religion, they're good pieces of literature.
Actually Lieutenant... back when I was younger, I read quite a few of a series set in the SW universe... horror books, if you can call them that. A bro and sis go around encountering the most twisted experiments of the empire... was a lot of fun. So I don't really find it that nerdy.
And my fav must be the Saga of the Seven Suns... haven't finished it yet (final book! aghh!) but already it's just about the best thing I've read so far.
I don't read books too often. I just read internet articles(love wikipedia!)and watch the movie instead(I love cheating by watching an hour-and-a-half movie,whilst if I read the book,it's probably take me the whole day,if not more.).
