obama wants to use our tax money to pay for abortions with the new health care bill, now for some people that would be ok with them. but for me i am Pro-life and i want to choise how my money is spent. what are your ideas?
p.s. this is not a forum to talk if abortion is bad or good just to see if it should be in the new health care

That's great. Not everyone shares your sense of morality, and have an appreciation for science. Given that not everyone shares your opinion, it would be a travesty of human rights for you or others of your ilk to enforce your opinions on the unwilling.
i think it should and my veiwa on abortion are that people can do what they please and should not let other people decide what they can do with their bodies .

No-one gave us the right. It is inherent to us as human beings to be able to do with our bodies as we please. And the fetus is part of the mother's body. And we did too. If I had a tumor, I would have the right to get it removed, right? Same goes for the fetus. We can say if it can live or not because it is a part of the mother and the mother can do with her body as she chooses.

Right, because morals are subjective and never correct and science. . .is not. Science is the FACTS. Your morals are your OPINIONS. And I think it's better to leave the fate of a future life to fact than opinion.

Just to point something out, just because the fetus is inside the mother doesn't make it a part of her. My sh*t is inside me until I release it, but that doesn't mean it's a part of me. Your sh*t is not attached to you. The fetus is a PART OF THE MOTHER. The fetus is physically attached to the mother, and depends on the mother. Without the mother, the fetus is a blod of dead cells. Just like someone's lung without a person to be attached to. A fetus is a growth inside the mother, much like a tumor. Part of the mother.

You're totally correct. . .but the fetus is not just inside the mother, ready to be ejected. The fetus is a growth inside the mother. Physically attached to the mother. Therefore, the fetus is part of the mother.
Scientifically, you're correct, and that should probably be good enough for you. But I see it in a different sense since the fetus will eventually detach itself from the mother. I guess I gave a bad example, though.
I think what you're looking for is that the fetus has the possibility of becoming an autonomous being in it's own right, whereas a tumor does not. Which is a decent argument, but you have to consider the pro-choice argument as well that the possibility of life doesn't directly equate to life itself.
Just because a maple seed may eventually turn into a 100 year old tree doesn't mean that we should treat the seed the same as the old growth. This is an imperfect example of course, but I think it gets the point across. The fetus (or often embryo) is still that seed.

Government works under the assumption that god doesn't exist, if health care is nationalized it will be the same. You can choose not to get an abortion because god wouldn't want you to, but someone else who doesn't believe in god should have their abortion covered by health care.
