I think that george Bush could possible be the worst president that we have ever had, we are trillions of dollars in debt and we are in a war that appears to have no ending, please tell me what you think.
Every US president from FDR to now should have be put in The Hague for war crimes and crimes against humanity and left there to rot for life. Bush is no better than all the other president's who have started illegal wars, overthrown democratically elected governments, and committed massive abuses throughout the world.
He is one of my favorite presidents. 1. Regan. 2. Lincoln. 3. Bush
IMHO, you're not old enough to form an opinion on this particular matter. Therefore, either you are merely parroting what you hear from members of your family, or you are just trying to get a rise out of people. Perhaps both.
I lived through the Reagan years, and Bush has followed his same basic pattern: pander to the rich, and show mocking indifference to the middle and lower classes, and the result was the same: the lower and middle classes got tired of being treated like second-hand junk, and voted for the Democrats. The GOP is its own worst enemy.

Fact is, i have read many books on Lincoln. I believe over 20. I read books on Regan, and i have heard all of his recorded speeches. And as for Bush, i have followed him closely since fourth grade.

Speeches are usually not written by the people who make them, especially when it comes to Reagan and W. Besides, speeches are supposed to sound good.

Yes i think Bush was a bad president and all but think about through the crisis we had while he was in office any president i think would have done the same... you really dont know what they think unless your in there shoes... and NO i didnt get that from my parents i thought about it myself..
Bush never did anything wrong and yes he caters to the rich but hell the top 1% pay 15% of our taxes!and the bottom 40% don't pay any if it wasn't for his catering to the rich they'd have less employes, without a strong and rich...rich our ecnomy would plumet
i think when he was in the white house he was critisised for being stupid but its better than having obama because now people will turn it from stupid jokes to racist jokes and i know this because i know a site with A LOT of jokes about obama on.
I really don't think now is the time to form an opinion of his presidency. We'll have to wait for history to sort out everything he has done.
But as of now... I'd rate him average. He was an excellent president on 9/11, perhaps the best. He gave the country hope again. Not so smart for invading Iraq, but in his defense, when the US, British, and Isralie intelligence agencies all tell you there are WMD's in Iraq, and Saddam supports terrorism, what would you do? Tough decision. No doubt he was a lame duck his second term though, especially with that long vacation he took. Presidents do NOT get long vacations!!! As far as the economy is concerned, I'm not sure if that is his fault or not. It seems mostly tied to Congress with decisions starting in the 90's and followed through to now.
