So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)
TALK ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO COLONY (and beef burgers)
grandslam, beatrix, 1v1 winratio75+ (name of the game)
Firetail: One on manpower One on energy
Most of the time it is spread like that. Depending on what the opponent is going I switch.
Heavy phantom (double energy) No air (double manpower)
(The armory is first set to money until I have no use for it anymore; that happens to be right after t3 ground, and all my money after that comes from just the basic resource gain you get every 5 seconds or so)
Money until I have enough to hit t3 ground. The other one is on energy.
If you noticed, my outpost was up pretty quick (usually I go forge first, but I had to defend against the rush), and that would be pumping manpower all while I was teching up).
I think you are underestimating capitalist resource-gathering. Try it out.
Yeah I have strats outlined at Krinlabs forums (maybe a little outdated).
Basically, mass hover (triple armory then t3 ground) and phantomkata (bank to armory to generator to t2 air to solar to tear down bank to second solar to mass units to missiles late game) with decent (not terrific) micro. I like 1v1 more; I can't find many good teammates.
i mean i do decent with 1 on 1. but my strategy can really only win once then they know it and im screwed.
i cant tech up fast and rely much more on my knowledge of counters and micromanagement. (i also like how once i started using microing everyone on this forum is, i just hope ppl know wth there talking about)
