A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

Thank you. I find reading the English language to be easier way than to write it. I have to admit that I used a here translator when I wrote this poem. But it still was difficult. I had to write the Haiku, and then read it to make that sure the translator did it's job correctly. Then I had to put it through the syllable counter to make sure that it was right. It was not easy but I tried my hardest. I am surprised I even made a correct one. Let alone one that is moderately well.
See? You're getting it! You're doing a much better job than you or the jerks are giving credit for. Looking forward to another one of your haikus someday!

Here's what a former judge has to offer. Haikus are made to be simple, light hearted and natural poems yet a little esoteric so here you go ^^. That's my idea of a traditionnal Haiku.
