A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

Weary wanderer:
Rest and relax here for now,
Then be on your way.

Vile lividity
Asphyxiates affection,
of former amour.

Where art my lover?
Her existence so vivid,
Alas, but a dream.

Such a memory,
Of loneliness in the dark,
As the sun fades away.

I might write a better one later. Maybe.

Loveless
Our love is silent.
And she meant the world to me
But now her time came

I sit here sadly.
As the sunlight dims I cry,
For I have no one.

Jeez half of these sound like you're looking at a gravestone.

Most of my haiku's are sad but this one was happy. I guess I was happy because I got the chance to make a personifiction of the bench. I loooove personifications.

Oh, look a bench
I think I'll sit down on it
I feel better now

The waning sunlight
heralds day's parting; but now,
None will attend it.

A (fictive) mourning person's haiku, in reference to the empty bench, that may have been accustomed to receiving regular visitors.

the bench represents
more than relaxation, the
birth place of a love

That was quite a small amount of entries. Maybe we should extend the date...
