A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

@Sk8terjif, put some capitalization and punctuation in your Haiku, as they look for that during the judging process.

OK, thank you, this is my first time.

Drawn by sirens, to ease flame
Immersed mind, soothes soul

As *I* look for that.

Speaking of judges, what ever happened to dear old Ernie? I would assume his computer is still acting up?

Also, judging will close at 11:59PM tonight. AG time.

What is AG time?

The time that AG shows when you post, which is Eastern Seaboard, or GMT -5, I believe. My computer tells me, as does AG, that it is 8:02 PM. SO there are approximately four hours until judging closes.

Oh yeah, that's right. I'm sort of still a judge here.

Whoops.

Maybe I'll be able to judge next round. Hopefully my new computer will be ready by then (I'm not using my own computer at the moment).

I apologize for the wait. While I have been unable to post it, I have decided on the top five. A simple matter about the next topic needs to be addressed, and then its go-fly.

Yes, its another picture. But I've decided to see if one of AG's own will be willing to have their picture as the select.
