A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

I was going to write something last night, but I couldn't come up with anything decent. :<

dudeguy's late

It takes time to judge, be patient. And remember, people have lives outside of ArmorGames.

If we go on a site called Armor Games, no. We don't have a life outside of Armor Games.

lol @ acmed on his post above.

Well men, you made my job easy. About half of you can't count your syllables correctly.

THE HALL OF DISQUAL-IFICATION

Heroin Award

far and wide
Searching for her lost keepsake
Lost wandering soul

Women can't be heroes. Remember, I'm a sexist judge. Your haiku is disqualified. (Also your first line is 4 syllables)

PS3 FANBOYZ 4 LYFE Award

halogunner

The guilds praise him
No champion could best him
A legend is he

Your username is a reference to halo, and I am a PS3 fan, therefore your haiku is disqualified. (Also your first line is only 4 syllables.) You might have had a winning chance if you counted correctly.

Murderers Can't Count Award

killersup10

standing tall and proud
monsters hides cover his body
conquering beast easily

http://www.howmanysyllables.com/words/body.html Sorry man. I hate to disqualify a killer like you, but rules are rules. Nice barbarian hero you created though.

~PEOPLE WHO CAN COUNT~

Brace Yourselves Award

javasully

A hero is found
Stand strong, my brave warrior
We all need you now

Finally, someone who can count. I like dis. This warrior is the last hope. Ok vocab, but not quite theme fit.

Like Father Like Son Award

darktroop07

Forgotten by time.
His son is now in glory.
Honored by many.

You fit the theme "bequeted" best, by outcasting the father hero. Good vocab. It would help if you put a comma after glory to help the flow but it's not a big deal. Nice.

Traitor Award

Disregarded by
The foundation he fought for,
Champ forsake to foe.

Clapclapclapclap. Superb vocab, your haiku fits the theme the best, with correct puncuation and flow. Grats.

Gladiator Award

KingLemon

Clashing swords, cutting.
A long battle. The crowd stills.
A new champion.

Good scence ya got, and I admit, bequethed is not really an everyday word, but you kinda missed the theme by half. Good vocab like stills and clashing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Choosing the winner was not hard, considering he was the only one to really fit the theme.
Jeol!
Congrats, here is some burnt popcorn!
You live and you die
Only once in a lifetime,
You only live once
Would this be part of the theme? This is my first actual Haiku I've ever done.
A life, a demise,
One's suffering and rapture,
Is once in an existance
Rapture - Synonym of joy
Existance - Synonym of lifetime
