I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, Disney has more resources to pull from while making a movie. However if Disney executives feel it's more profitable to reach a larger pre-teen audience, will they start taking the axe to Marvel story lines.
Will Marvel movies, tv shows have to be edited (censored) to be shown on Disney channel?
One more point I want to make.
The deal underscores Disneyâs focus on growth and could herald a new wave of media consolidation, analysts said.
Is this a sign of things to come? Where Google, Walmart and Disney own everythng through some form of consolidation.
I don't know. Use the Thor movie for an example. Disney hold a focus group and some people in the group are offended that Thor is a god. Do Disney executives push forward with the movie or do they put it on the back burner and try and figure something else out.
Disney is the stupidest thing ever. Why would the buy Marvel? Will they add Toy Story to it or something? (lol I like Toy Story anyway). Disney is just a bunch of talentless losers to begin with...
i suppose disney will not mess with the creations of marvel. they simply diversify their portfolio by adding some video, comic and gaming entertainment for another viewer group. they will let the marvel people do their jobs as before. they will just get their share of the profit.
Great, now Iron Man and the Hulk are going to break into song in future movies...
You know what Disney is good for? Music and cartoon animation. How does Marvel fit into all of this again? I was lost around the lines of Action, Violence, Language, Sexuality, and Use of Drugs.
Oh man, now the ****ing Jonas Brothers are gonna be in every Marvel movie.
(Imagines a Spider Man movie with Jonas Brother's music) ... not too far out there... I mean the last one we had spiderman acting like a 90's hipster...
(Imagines a X-men movie with Jonas Brothers music)
