It was all of the news for like 4 hours. The whole country was in panic about this afternoon. Everyone thought that Falcon Heenie was trapped inside a silver dome shaped craft for more than 2 hours reaching heights around 10,000 feet in the air. It seems the kid was just hiding in the attic because he was afraid of being confronted with his father.
It's BS. It shouldn't have even been on the local news.
Missing children reports should always be a national story. If the story is national, then it is much more likely that someone will find the child.
Granted, this ended up not being a missing child case. The father is definitely in it for the fame. Child service should investigate and take the kid away.
He has to be in it for the fame; I was watching an interview on TV, and when the dad was asked a serious question, he got all up in a huffy and said:
"You know, I wasnt going to make an interview, but people like you-"
I switched it. Its seriously a BS Story. Infact, I'm more interested in whats going to happen to the family, what with the BlackHawk, cops, etc, etc, that were used/in the search/rescue of the balloon.
