It was all of the news for like 4 hours. The whole country was in panic about this afternoon. Everyone thought that Falcon Heenie was trapped inside a silver dome shaped craft for more than 2 hours reaching heights around 10,000 feet in the air. It seems the kid was just hiding in the attic because he was afraid of being confronted with his father.
Why would you even try to fake something like this....pure stupidity at its fullest in my opinion! I wonder if they even checked with binoculars(or something with a better magnification) to see if there was even something on that balloon!

Well, the only compartment the boy could have been in was the battery compartment, which had no windows. So just because you dont see a boy inside the balloon, or can't, you still dont go and ignore the balloon, or shoot it down or something stupid like that. What if the boy really was in there?
And I think they should be charged. I'm sure alot of people felt bad or cried or something when a little boy is flying away.
And pretty ironic that the boy who flied away was named 'Falcon', doncha think?
It shows how much some people are completely oblivious to what their kids are doing.

Do you guys have a child. For a start you cant watch your child 24/7 nor should you. You cant protect them from everything, and if he had climbed into the ballon and floated to a freezing, oxygen starved death then he would/should have won a darwin award.
There used to be this thing called common sense that governed things like "im on LSD but I still understand physics and that I cant fly" or "there is a canal, I think Ill not walk into it, so no need for these metal railings and warning signs" (thanks to Steve Hughes for that)
More than anything, shame on the parents for pulling a crackpot scam and using their child to make money/fame. They should each be punched in the face... twice.

BULLSHIT If anything theres too many things to report on. American news suck ass. They biggest news that will report is something on a national level, and that would be things like the health care reform and what Obama is going to do.

Wouldn't it take an insanely larger amount of helium in a much larger balloon to lift a small child? OH! and I saw him throw up! HAHAHA

then why would a balloon crashing have to be reported on when there are so many other things?
why are we talking about this? we should be talking about if it was a hoax or not! he said 'i thought we were doing this for a show' and little kids dont know when people lie, and when hid dad DID he thought he was telling the truth. The family has been on TV shows before and was trying to gain publicity to be on another, sort of like how rob blagoiavitch wants a tv show
