Hi all!

We've updating Colony to version 2.0 right now. Here will be the changes in the update:

New Buildings and Units

With the war in Athenia still raging on, all the governments have been pushed to develop new technologies. As casualties pile up, the Hospitals have been forced to upgrade into War Sanctums to cope with the number of bodies being rushed into Emergency Care every hour.

The Saint watches over the sky and proves a fearsome guardian over the city. New Far-Range sniper rifles have been developed to siege enemy forces from a great distance. The prototype android, A27-Pride is now in mass production to provide support fire.

New Game Mechanics

The game should run a little bit smoother now, and allow you to reach up to Rank 10 on multiplayer. A lot of rebalancing has been done on existing units, especially the Sakata and the Groditz. You can also now double click a unit to select all units of that type.

More Coming Soon!

I'm still working on an anti hack system, and the Fox server has been programmed into the game (we just don't have the server yet). Expect there to be a string of smaller updates throughout this week as we put in additional features little by little

How about modified units in a tier 4 building that uses recycled scrap from the battle feild, like a hovertanks gun mounted on a regular tank, or romans with the prides gun.

Lol. Or a Sakata MK II with Spiders guns. Then it could shoot at air and ground lol.

Yes, hovers + Sakata MK-II are the gist of a good outpost + forge combo.

But, one that costs 30 manpower and 31 energy...hmm (combination of resource costs for both, and maybe double that as the cost)

but still unfair

What I would personally appreciate would be a fog-of-war option. Makes the game a little less predictable and the rush a little more viable.

Fog of war could be good, but I just feel like the map is to short, so a suggestion of mine would be to double the battleground length.

double battle feild length

hmm

this would make it harder

Field's not too long for fog-of-war. As long as we couldn't see... say, a band of romans massing up across the field, the rush would become more useful, and many more strategies could develop.

fog of war would probably not work. since if you have 1 unit that has a range to see that far the fog dissapears. so 1 far sniper and your good.

then you could try to kill the sniper...

At the very least, everyone would have to plan to build a sniper... or forgo one in order to get a lead in tech.
