I don't. I've lost all faith in America and everything it seems to stand for. All that is a lie. The government doesn't give a crap about you or your life. They just want money, and for you to shut up. Therefore, I will not pledge my allegiance to any nation, corrupt or otherwise. I only pledge my allegiance to God(sorry Atheists, but I gotta have something you know?). I know I'm going to be called a Nazi or terrorist for this but: death to the American government(wait, all it STOOD for is already dead, so haha.).

There's a Texas pledge?

Yup. It goes:
Honor the Texas flag.
I pledge allegiance to thee,
Texas, one and indivisible.

Well, no, they changed it last year. Now it goes:

Honor the Texas flag.
I pledge allegiance to thee,
Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.

That makes me angry.

There's a Texas pledge? How conceited is that? (I thin I'm using the word "conceited" right)

Everyone knows us Texans think unnecessarily highly of ourselves and our state. >:P

"God" does not necessarily mean the Christian god(s), or the Jewish god, or the Hindu god(s), "God" simply means a (or the) main creator/director in the world/universe.

My school does not do the Pledge of Allegiance, but we stand up for the Nat'l Anthem and face the flag at the beginning of the day. When I am in a 'Pledge' situation, I usually opt not to, because of general disagreeance with the text (ie: liberty and justice for all).

That' kind of funny manta. lol I was thinking more stereotypical when you said Texas Pledge. Like, "Honor all 7 of your future wives..." Just kidding. lol

My school only recites it over the announcements on Monday. Probably to save time.

We say it every day...

Is that so? I thought it was a general implication that by 'God' it was meant the almighty creator of the universe as described in the Bible. Oh well, I guess you can interpret it however.

its the same god, but in islam, he is called allah.

allah says if you kill a brother muslim you go to hell but if you kill an infidel its ok. It is in the Koran so don't try and say I am making it up.

Jehovah on the other hand says not to kill anyone. Different entities.

we just make it so because when the Pledge was made, it was intended to be the Christian God.

also, Christianity is the most popular religion on the planet and moreso the USA, most other religions use different names, etc.

Who wants to care for their country when the leaders of it don't care about them?

Obama doesn't care about me because Obama doesn't know me.

I have lost faith in America to, and I am really upset with it's state. But that is no reason to stop saying the pledge.

When you are saying the pledge you are pledging to the Constitution (there are direct quotes in the pledge) and the founding fathers and the ideologies this country was created on.

So that is why you should never stop saying the pledge, no matter what.

Where did you get that idea? Politicans care about us, if they wanted to be rich they'd start businesses.

True, but major politicians make a crap load of money. There salary, endorsements, engagements, ETC. And when you think about it, it works like a business.

There more product they sell (product: there ideologies and ways of running the country), the more money they make (money: people supporting them [but they do literally make more money as well, when more people support them]).
