I don't. I've lost all faith in America and everything it seems to stand for. All that is a lie. The government doesn't give a crap about you or your life. They just want money, and for you to shut up. Therefore, I will not pledge my allegiance to any nation, corrupt or otherwise. I only pledge my allegiance to God(sorry Atheists, but I gotta have something you know?). I know I'm going to be called a Nazi or terrorist for this but: death to the American government(wait, all it STOOD for is already dead, so haha.).
My school doesn't actually force us to say it(go Utah!), but I say it anyway. Honestly, where are you all getting this crap? The government only wants money? In case you haven't noticed, the American government is a bit short on money as of now. In fact, last I looked, we were in debt trillions of dollars. Stop complaining. Does it really matter if they care? No! Because Americans have it an awful lot better than most other countries, yet there are some idiots who find the need to complain about how the goverment is brainwashing them, etc. etc. I think Alt got the measure of you best.
Yeah maaaaan! *voice cracks* *takes a hit off a joint* Fiiiight the power, maan! Nonconfooooooormismmmm, yeah . . .
Honestly. Are you doing anything when you complain? No. So feel free not to say the pledge. Instead you pledge your allegiance to some great figure in the sky*coughwhodoesn'texistcough*.
Oh my God, thank you Moat. I have seen so many people with blind hatred for the US just because of our government and the bad spin the media has put on us.
Most of these people being AMERICAN.
I DO say the pledge, just not everyday like my school makes us. I mean, who can HONESTLY say that this country sucks sweaty donkey balls like so many people do? We have over 200 years of accomplishments and great rights and freedom, just a poor government/public school system.
I still say it but then again since I despise most government officials and they want to remove the pledge of allegiance I guess I am using it as a way of desention. As long as freedom of speech still stands then the guvner can kiss my butt and I will still say and believe in this great nation. After they take that away I'll find a small island and tell em to toss off.
Why give America credit for being good anymore, its run by oil and greed. Of course give me a country that would rather keep its people, and its peace for another coin, another dollar, or even another pint of oil.
i still say the pledge of allegiance. i do think that the government should not have a lot of power like it does right now. Obama is just digging us a hole
I don't say the pledge of allegiance for 2 reasons. One, i've said it like 3000 literally and there's no point in saying it anymore. Two, I get so bored when I say it I zone out and yawn and what not. The pledge of allegiance in schools to me seems just to be like trying to instill nationalism in elementry school kids because that's the only place they say it because from like age 4-11 most people don't think for themselves, they take what's told to them for granted, whether or not it's true or if they beleive in it.

We have freedom... And name a country that's better? (Mind you, Canadas also run by oil.)
In world view, America is the biggest oxymoron in history it would seem. Everyone wants to go to America, but they are constantly critizing it. Everyone says they hate Americans, but they want our help. People say that America is corrupt, but from what I hear we have the least scandals. Seems to me like other countries goverments don't want all their people to immigrate to America(Which we would probably allow for better or worse) so they exagerate on what we do and tilt it so it sounds like a criminal offense. I live in America and I never see or hear of any of those things that people talk about.
Unitedstatians? That sounds like a 6 year old combining random words. North americans, or United states residents would be more appropriate. Although yes, I do think that the tile Americans only is unneccecary, not only does it seem that it would be obvious that it's something that only americans would post on, I don't think any other country or ethnic group really cares what we do with our pledge.
I know vote, but it's done and gone, the mods seem to have noticed what's going on and are closing off the topics that say only for specific people, this will probably be the last post on this topic XD, anyways, there's no need to put only anything.
