I don't. I've lost all faith in America and everything it seems to stand for. All that is a lie. The government doesn't give a crap about you or your life. They just want money, and for you to shut up. Therefore, I will not pledge my allegiance to any nation, corrupt or otherwise. I only pledge my allegiance to God(sorry Atheists, but I gotta have something you know?). I know I'm going to be called a Nazi or terrorist for this but: death to the American government(wait, all it STOOD for is already dead, so haha.).

Well is also shows your patriotism. It's hard to be patriotic with a corrupt government.

Patriotism is defined as love of and/or devotion to one's country.

Devotion. Key word. If you have a bad government, that is a time more than ever to be patriotic (pledge of allegiance) and show support for the government you once knew and believed in.

True, but major politicians make a crap load of money. There salary, endorsements, engagements, ETC. And when you think about it, it works like a business.

Another stereotype: Rich people=bad, aka Richer than Me=Bad, aka People shouldn't be richer than me, aka Im jealous.

I never once said it is bad they make all that money (i also did not say it was good). That was a completely neutral statement.

I still believe in the values this country was founded on, but I do still hate the people who run the government.

Hmm, I say it in parts and it ends of saying

I pledge Allegiance...One Nation Under God...And Justice for all.

First part=lead in to second. Second=how I feel. Third=Satire on the lack of liberty. Yea beating the system.

MY allegiance is to God not to America.

The government is growing too big, I don't really care for that; but no government at all equals anarchy. Who in their right minds actually believes that would work?

Is the government really all about money, or is it the people who want all the money? It is the government's job to make sure that the country does not go so far into debt that the economy crashes. I'm pretty sure all countries are in debt, so don't use the America is in debt excuse.

Most of the recent laws made in America do take away the people's rights, because of the people who want money! People sue other people. Government makes laws so it is harder to sue. People grow all upset and complain that it was so the government can make money. People sue with no care for their government or fellow man. Government makes more laws. As you can see, it's the court system that fails. Or is it?

Maybe the problem with America isn't the government, but the corrupt CEOs of Big Business. Maybe we have too many imports and not enough exports. Trade is very important to maintain good relationships with other countries, but too much trade can often destroy one side if they aren't careful.

I look around and the laws I see were created to protect the people. Our government is trying to hard to keep everyone safe. So is the government trying to make money? OF COURSE! This country runs on money like everything else in the world. Is there corruption in the white house and other government officials? You bet your ass there is corruption! But America is still a free country. America is going through nothing new. America is not the first country to have corruption in its people or government.

So be as individualistic as you want. Say the pledge of allegiance or don't. At least in America, you have a choice. Our high schools and grade schools may try forcing us, but legally they can't do anything to you if you know your rights. In America, we have freedom of speech. Not too much of the world has this freedom. Some places do, let's be glad that we live in one of those countries.

I pledge to America.

Maybe PEOPLE in control of the country do something you disagree with, but don't you still believe in what this country stands for? That's what I pledge to when I do the Pledge of Allegiance.

The United States of America stands for freedom from tyranny ; it symbolizes The Colonists' struggle against Great Britain and their tyrannical monarch. It represents a land of opportunity, as the many added amendments have guaranteed equal opportunity and fair competition, regardless of ethnicity. It represents a land of peace and protection, since the War of 1812, when we fended off the most powerful nation in the world and won, ensuring The Peoples' right to live without constant fear.

There aren't many other nations that can equal that :P Well done America!

I pledge to America, taking out "one nation under 'G'od" every time. Anyone wondering can freely ask me why.

I understand the opinions some may have on freedom to say it or not say it, but I beleive you should be RESPECTFUL to any one's country and what it stands for on their personal beleif's. That's what we americans were SUPPOSED to do in the first place, isn't it?
