I went to a sunday service at a church (i don't go very much) and for the hour the pastor talk about some finial war and the anti-christ coming in the next 10-20 years. He said nothing about why it would happen or gave any evidence. It felt like he was just saying turn or burn for the whole hour.
LOL. Jehovah answers to no one. He made Ananias and Saphira drop over dead for lying to the Holy Spirit. And have you read Revelation??? Somehow I wouldn't call THAT mellow.
The point was there is no one good more as an absolute rather then a relative term. Now I could be wrong about that assumption. Any way working within the context of the Bible, even saying God is good and all humans are bad in comparison still seems rather unlikely given all the horrible act God has done directly and has condoned himself. Even factoring in how he mellowed in the New Testament there still are his past deeds to answer for.
One could make the argument that, given people with our minds had his power, we would have made even worse mistakes. God, even in the Old Testament, is good to those who are good to him. But imagine what advantage a human, with this power, might take of all those who worship him anyway.
