If there are good people left in this world let's have a chat.

I myself oppose death metal it is ungodly. it also leads to being anti god and christian.

I myself am a very active christian and active anti atheism.

Death metal, Atheism, and hatred towards god is disgusting.

If anyone responds with hate comments towards Christians i will mark it as spam.

Well I don't play drums so I may be missing something, but yes it sounds a lot harder than just about every other song I heard.

What genre has more complex drums than death metal? Example please

Ska.

Walking Away- Streetlight Manifesto

I know it doesn't sound as difficult, but it takes a lot more technique to play that than it does to play metal. Metal is usually just really fast, simple beats. There are exceptions, but not very many.

Trust me, I'm a drummer, That song takes WAY more coordination and skill to play than a double bass. even the beginning takes decent technique.

This takes drum skill, this takes guitar skill and this takes bass skill.

I don't really care if it's not ultra super technical, it takes enough skill for me to appreciate the musicianship and the music. As far as death growls go, I could understand why someone might not like them, but they take just as much skill as singing or rapping would. Okay, probably more than rapping, but you get my gist...

I've always found death metal to be.....well.....unpleasant. It's never happy, it seems, and it always puts me in an unhappy mood. Now, let me ask you, why would I ever want to listen to music that has that effect?

It doesn't for me. Check out the music links I posted on the previous pages.
There not the extreme of metal, but none of them are depressing really.

I find them rather energizing.

It's not about being nice and pleasant for everyone to enjoy; death metal is energetic music and is usually also quite angry. I find it never puts me in an unhappy mood. If I want to get pumped up I listen to death metal, and if I feel angry I listen to death metal to get some of the angry energy out.

I don't say its "not godly" but just crappy, useless music.

Just read, and listen to, this. For all the non metal listeners.

I realise it probably won't convince you, but it may show that metal actually is music, and not some random noise.

Why does everyone who doesn't actually listen to much death metal presume it's all screaming? A lot of the mainstream metal is a bunch of stupid American teenagers screaming, as you say, but the best death metal bands growl which takes a lot more skill and is actually quite risky. I will know show you the difference between growling and screaming:

This is screaming. It is absolute crap. Like you say, anyone can scream.

These guys on the other hand are incredibly pwnage. You'll have to listen to about two minutes of quite dark lyrics (not grolwing/screaming) and then the growling kicks in. These guys are melodic death and are absolutely awesome.

I don't even see why they have to growl. I love the metal instrumentals. There awesome!

But the vocals always kill it. So many good songs I have are ruined by the growling.

Oh god...have you heard of Chelsea Grin?

Their growling sounds like a hog squealing. So disgusting.
