metal is horrible music. The people can't even sing. But then again, it's the same with rap i guess... :/
Rob Halford would like to have a word with you.
As would Bruce Dickinson, James Paul-Luna, Wyatt C. Anderson, Bobby Blitz Ellsworth, Olof Wikstrand, Tim Owens, Blaze Bayl- ah fuck it, some people have their heads so far up their own asses...
Oh yeah, and I forgot King Diamond and Ronnie James Dio. They'd like to have a talk with you too.
King Diamond is one of the best singers ever! Not many people can sing like him (the closest to his singing i've ever heard is the singer from 'Protest the Hero', too bad not manny people apreciate his talent.
Oh yeah, and he also says that liking metal goes beyond opinion and is a mental illness. The person who wrote that article is quite literally nothing more than a very sophisticated troll.
I wouldn't trust a person who hates ALL heavy metal, ALL proto-metal/classic rock but then claims that glam metal had its moments.
\\
Let me define my terms here: bluesy hard-rock protometal like Zeppelin or Aerosmith is not what Iâm talking about;
try again.

Right after that he says it sucks.
And you're telling me that opinion is NOT subjective? That opinion is up to a person to decide what is right and what isn't? Sounds to me like you're in denial.

no, I'm just saying that your opinion is caused by mental illness.
I myself oppose death metal it is ungodly. it also leads to being anti god and christian.
That is stereotypical. A lot of death metal has nothing to do with religious matters, much of the underground death metal is actually about a lot of fantasy and stuff.
I myself am a very active christian and active anti atheism.
Even if metal did promote atheism it's ones choice to be atheist and their choice to speak blasphemy. You certainly cannot accuse all athiests of blasphemy (as in insulting God, rather than not believing in him) as many are rational and fair about the matter.
Death metal, Atheism, and hatred towards god is disgusting.
You class someone's belief as disgusting? Do you actually believe that or did a priest just tell you to rant on everyone who does not think the same as you?
Death metal is no more disgusting than rap, they're both simply genres. Rap probably does more damage anyway.
Hatred towards God is bad regardless of whether or not you believe in his existence. You cannot however attribute that to atheism as atheism is not all rant about God's non-existence. People are allowed their own beliefs just like you're allowed yours and as long as they're not abusing you (I think a bit of attempted conversion is fine) then what's the problem?
If anyone responds with hate comments towards Christians i will mark it as spam.
Now you're just saying "agree with me or don't post on my thread". Forums don't normally roll like that.
Your right I hate that kind of music were they scream so deep and loud you dont understand like slayer.but alot of christan bands do it to.Like Disturbed.
OK, quick lesson:
Death metal contains no screaming. That's called mainstream deathcore which is very popular but is normally a bunch of teenagers with jelled hair, as you say, screaming. Death metal is growling.
Secondly, Slayer is not death metal no matter what South Park tells you.
Thirdly, Disturbed growling/screaming is one of the funniest things I've read this week. I remember listening to Pantera when I was a lot younger and though they were incoherently growling but as I got more used to the genre I realised that they weren't really growling that much. You could just be experiencing not being used to the sound of the genre.
