Ha! Don't get me started. Unlike all of the presidents, he didn't DESTROY our nation. He was the one who threw us into debt.[/quote]
Sigh. The federal government hasn't been out of debt since Marshall sold off huge tracts of federal land. The nation was in debt long before Clinton or Bush.

Like I said before, Clinton had managed the budget so that he was able to start paying off the debt. Once Bush got in office spending went crazy once again, and now Obama's only making it worse.
Ha! Don't get me started. Unlike all of the presidents, he didn't DESTROY our nation. He was the one who threw us into debt. He was alo the one who started t war o Iraq. He is to blame fr rising gas prces. He typically was the reason for everyting wrong from 2001-2009
As with all things, there is more than one side to the issue. You BELIEVE Bush threw us into debt. Some Republicans believe it was the work of a Democrat Congress.
And your last statement leaves me to believe you are close-minded. You truly think anything that went wrong in that time period is the fault of one man because he has the most power? The executive branch has less power than the legislative branch. The president has the most power in America for one man, but not for one branch.
I'm not saying Bush was wonderful. I'm saying he had a tough job and, according to you, none of us could handle it. Unless you think you could handle the president's job, you shouldn't criticize Bush.
I would like to see you do his job. Ha! You can't, so if I were you, I wouldn't be talking.
You lied. You would be talking if you were one of the Obama haters. Only difference is, you hate Bush. I don't care what your reason is; according to your logic, you shouldn't be bashing someone whose job you can't personally handle, right?

The thing is, Bush put himself forward because he thought he could handle it. Regardless if you think you should only criticise if you can handle a job, that doesn't grant immunity from accountability for the person who chose to do that job.
I was just pointing out the hypocrisy in the argument if it only applies to one side of the political spectrum.
Im not saying that only Bush can do this and only Obama can do that. Im saying that Obama is better suited for the job. I believe Bush screwed us over.
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if that one electoral vote went to Gore instead of Bush, and he was president instead of him... that was something else right there...
Think about this though...with the 2 houses under Democratic control, it was more perfect a time as any for proposing the health care plan. If this succeeds, Obama will have a much safer re-election. However, if he fails...opposite.
Im saying that Obama is better suited for the job.

What you did say was that if you were an Obama hater, you wouldn't be talking. But then, when George Bush's name was mentioned, you sprung after him immediately, doing exactly what you were condoning to be done upon Obama. I don't mind hearing your reasons for disliking Bush; I welcome them. It's a chance for me to hear what people on the opposite side have to say, and I enjoy learning what others think. But to say that nobody can say something against Obama because we couldn't do his job really limits the discussions you could get into. You can't justify criticizing one man because you believe he screwed us over. Either you are oblivious to the conservatives that think Obama is screwing us over, or you simply don't think they deserve a chance to speak because they disagree with you.
I just wonder why with a filibuster proof house why hasn't he gotten everything done already? Instead all I hear is how the republicans are stopping health care reform and whatever else does not pass in 30 seconds or less. And on health care I do not want a country that looses money on the postal service, amtrak and so much more running my medical coverage. Hell here in NC the gov. can't even make a profit on alcohol in all counties. Alcohol for pete's sake. How can you loose money selling alcohol?! And they want to run health care, banks and Gov. motors.
The only things I see him doing in the newspaper is triing to kill someone and haging out in his backyard. Oh and also he flew a plane in plain sight of N.Y.
