I don't like the government side of health care, I like the "force health insurance companies to give health care" health care. Government-run insurances will be passed in the form of heavier taxes. Trust me.
Yes it will, on the rich people who pay less taxes than everyone else.
You, are some kind of stupid if you actually believe that.
If a guy who makes 100,000 a year is taxed 20%, that is 20,000. Keep the same flat rate, as many if not most places do, and apply it to 1,000,000. You've just spiked 10 fold. 200,000 is so much less than 20,000. Wow.
Not to mention the tiered taxing that many states employ. They could be looking at upwards of 40% taxation.

Taxes are based on your income, however there is a point where the taxes stop increasing. The lower your pay the lower you tax percent is. The higher your pay the higher your tax percent, to a point. This means that while someone making 20k a year lets say pays 5% tax, thats 1000 in taxes. Now someone making 100k a year pays 7% tax, thats 7000 in taxes. Then you have someone who is making 1 million who also pays a 7% tax, thats 70k in taxes. And everyone above that point is paying 7% tax, now why should they get off when everyone below them has to pay higher taxes if their income increases?
