I do not feel very comfortable around homosexual people, I feel like there out to get my bum haha. I really dont understand why i feel like this, whenever i spot a homo i stay as far away as i can. I feel homophobia is just a natural reaction to something you dont like, for example snakes or spiders its just a phobia. I think that this phobia will never go away in alot of people, just because its natural. Although many people over come their phobias. What do ou all think of homophobia or phobias at all?
I am pretty sure I did. If you are going to hate them and be rude and shun them ETC., that is immaturity. I may think that it is wrong to be gay, but i don't hate gays, i have gay friends.
Wow. I ACTUALLY agree with WeeMan147 on something :0
Ricador, the world is going to end.. HAHAH. I am glad we can see eye to on something.
Why must we label anyone who doesn't agree with the lifestyle of a homosexual person ignorant or immature?
That wasn't what I was saying at all. I wasn't saying that every one that disagrees is immature, just those that come in here and say "g@ys are stoopid!" and have no reason other than "'cause". Throughout the pages of this thread are plenty of posts like that.
Strat said: I don't think anyone here has done that.
Just the way the some people worded some things on the previous page made it sound like people were labeling the people that don't agree with the gay lifestyle as immature and ignorant.
Or maybe it was just the way I interpreted some of the things, I don't know which
But anyway, I personally don't agree with the lifestyle of a homosexual, but I don't hate homosexuals. I don't have any gay friends, but I am not prejudiced against them.
Steevo15, i think that is the way most people are.
That is a shame! I wish we could all live together as a species and stop worrying about what makes us different. If I ever decide to go gay (unlikely but you never know!) I would do it just to piss the world off! That would really be givin' it to 'em. The world that is...
Even if you did turn gay, it wouldn't make me the slightest bit mad, your sexual orientation is your business. Like I said, I am not prejudiced against gays, I just don't agree with their lifestyle. I would be friends with a gay person, if they were a nice person, but currently i don't know any.
Steevo, you are correct in the sense that no one should hate anyone just for disagreeing. The problem here is that MOST of the time (not all of the time) the person that disagrees explains so in a very rude, immature manner. Also, they usually don't have a justifiable reason to disagree.
There are many things on this site that a lot of us might disagree with, but the "regular" posters know how to explain how and why they disagree without really hurting anyone's feelings.

I thought you said that this isn't an email??? Your okay though. ---------- I'm up for anybody being whatever sexual orientation there heart desires. As long your not hurting anybody, it shouldn't matter.
That made laugh so hard as did a lot of this thread. But seriously, that kind of thinking is actually part of the problem as I see it. I think a lot of the more ignorant or just plain stupid parents teach their kids to be homophobic in fear that homosexuals will attempt to "turn their kids gay." As per the "gay agenda." I think a lot of people would lose that fear when they realize that being gay is not catching. Nor can anyone be "turned" or suddenly decide to be gay.
The "gay panic defense" brought up that exact issue. People claimed to be driven to murder because of the fear of a gay proposition. Of course the defense is bull plop but the fact that such a defense exists because people can claim that gays were trying to convert them proves, to me at least, that homophobia wouldn't exist if people didn't honestly think we could just change our minds. The proof? One defendant who tried that crazy defense managed to actually dead lock a jury.
I'm willing to bet that when guys sneak a peek it is all about male dominance, not really sexual.
Cardinal rule of mens' urinals #4: You do not look at the other guy's penis. You do not even sneak a peek at the other guy lest he thinks you are looking at his penis. You must keep your eyes firmly affixed to your own urinal, keeping your own penis hidden out of view from both yourself and anybody in the immediate vicinity.
Bwahahahahaha...I could go on and on about this as I'm sure other satirical writers may already have, but in this case it would merely be an exercise in seeing how many times I can say 'enis' in a single sentence without looking...oh hay, penis!
Asherlee, trust me, the urinals are a place of so much insecurity that the place reeks not only of piss but of fear. Most guys would rather lock themselves in the stall than face the imagined scrutiny of their fellow men ("my penis is bigger than yours, call yourself a man?" If you pick any urinal other than the corner one well away from any other males (cardinal rule #1), you will be perceived to be making a hostile takeover bid as an alpha male or something like that.
Srsly ppl!

An interesting side note: The defense is often coupled with allegations of attempted rape, such that the defense is tantamount to "if I'm allowed to defend myself if somebody attempts to sexually assault me, since homosexual rape is even worse, I'm justified in using deadly force." Which mightn't be true but can be the argument. And this argument doesn't make sense under the course of normal jurisprudence anyway because men are more commonly the perpetrators of rape in the first place. Cases where a woman rapes a man (while not completely unheard of) are far less common.
