Oi, I agree with Bronze. If you respect the deaths of all 25,000 other children, why not respect the death of just 13 more people? What harm could it possibly do? What would you do if this was your family and someone told said "so what?" Yeah it's nothing in the major scale of things, but it's still a tragedy when someone is taken before his time!

I'm not saying to mourn or dwell on this (unless you knew them...), but why shouldn't you care at all?

we have to follow the law.

the law says that we kill him as soon as possible.

no matter what his reason or motivation, he committed treason through premeditated mass murder, and we shouldn't even be thinking about doing anything but which way we wish to kill him.

Even if the military doesn't kill him, Texas law will. He commited 13 counts of capital murder under state law. He will die. Hopefully they'll dust off the electric chair in Huntsville.

I don't even think they use the chair in Huntsville. But he will get the death penalty here, no doubt.

Texas still uses the death penalty? Do other U.S. states?

Some yes. New York, New Jersey and I think California doesn't use it. I don't remember which ones do or don't. Google it.

Yes; I know Utah does. I think most of the states do, but a few of them have outlawed capital punishment.
P.S.-I think that Bronze has the right idea here. The people who are saying "So what, FU" probably simply have never experienced death. I'd like to see the expression on their face if someone close to them died and someone else said "So what?". I'm not saying that I'm completely ignoring the other deaths that go on, nor am I saying that this is a total tragedy. I'm saying to respect death, the dead, and their friends and family. Because that is very disrespectful, cruel, and downright jaded of you.

Here's a pretty in-depth review about the death penalty, state-by-state. That way you can see which states allow the death penalty and which don't.
See?
Now we can get back on subject, please.

That's where death row is held, so most of its current implements will still be there. The original maybe not, though . . . .

The most in the country. Why, someone just got executed recently. And last month as well.

Average wait is only 10 years.

I'm not asking for you to mourn over! Otherwise every human being would be a very depressed individual. I'm asking you to respect the death of the people instead of just saying "so what".

It isn't so little of an even to be just a "so what", but it certainly doesn't deserve to be covered continuously on the media for days and days. Whats worse was balloon boy.

They covered that lame ridiculous story for how many days? There is so much important things going on in the world but yet none of it is reported in the news while balloon boy is the topic of the week?

Its not about respecting their deaths. Sure, I wish that didn't happen, and I feel sad for their families. But I find it ridiculous for this story to get so much attention.
So many worse things happen that go unnoticed, a few people are killed in a shooting and its labeled as a massacre and a huge tragedy.

It's not everyday some of our soldiers decide to commit a massacre.

This isn't 1998 Iraq. This is America. It rarely happens. It doesn't happen every day, as you make it sound.

This should of course come up on the news.

But what angers me is that US media leaves off any news outside of its borders.

i dont think people are sad because people die... that always happens. i thinks its the fact that they were KILLED by a murderer. like think... would you ever kill anyone... ya i didnt think so. and before saying you would because most likley (not saying names just giving an example) your just an insecure 15 year old emo who thinks hes cool... now think what goes through a persons head that makes them want to be a mass murder... why would you do that. i just dont get it. like charles manson. what went through his head that made him think it was ok..... its like your taking sombodys life.. ya people die everyday but why would you want to be the cause of it. and to me thats what really touches people on the issue
