Anybody else beat the game?

The ending is foreshadowed a bit but the gameplay is solid once you get used to movement speed and attacking.

Has anyone actually beaten the game on hardcore yet? Is the ending any different than in normal mode?

shield is very useful for hard mode but in normal mode u don't have to use it

i think the best way to fight is with an axe and a sword. IT gives pretty high damage and it goes kinda fast. just keep attacking and most of the bosses are dead.

Not that I know of I am at the second boss and he kills my dragon in 4 hits on ardcore

you can't use the magic orb trick on the dragon, as far as i know.

If you want strong offence, then use dual Axe/Mace combo. Your hitting speed is about as fast as your fastest weapon. If you have a Mace and an Axe, you Axe hit about as fast as the mace; but if you have an Axe and a Shield, your Axe is so slow that it's unbearable. So if you use an Axe/Mace combo, you'll be chopping down your enemies in no time.

But if you're losing health constantly and you want to switch to defensive, then I suggest you use Sword/Shield. If you only use one weapon, the Axe is too slow and the Mace has too little damage, so I think the Sword is the best bet.

Simply delete your .sol save file. If you don't know where it's located, then tell me if you're using Windows XP or Vista.

I simply can't beat the blob bonazna on hardcore mode. Does anyone have any suggestions on tactics or builds that I should use?

For the blob level, just avoid being surrounded by multiple blobs, because they have ranged attacks.

I don't know about you, but I beat that level with Iron Axe and Deadly Mace.

For blob bonanza, I made sure I had a quick running speed (so good boots). My objective was to only be alone with one or two blobs at a time. I left the giant group that you are immediately surrounded with and headed south west of the map. It is important to note that only enemies visible on your map will fight you. So I ran around to collect/avoid blobs until only 2 were on my map at a time. I kept fighting them in the corners away from the main blob and packs of blobs. So, pick those 2 blobs off...then go "collect" another few to follow you and kill them. Slowly wean the blobs away until you only have the large one left. You need some patience, but eventually you will defeat the blobs! Hope that helped!!

What's the best grinding spot for hard mode, at and/or before the third map? I hardly seem to get any EXP at all (I'm level 42).
