Ok I am 15, in 9th grade, super super shy. I have been homeschooled my whole life, and this year I am at a school that has a lot more homework and everything than other schools. So my question is; should I drop out of school if- every time they mention a test, quiz, and/or a paper, and every time they do something in class where I have to go and talk- I get super stressed out, nervous, I start twitching and shaking? I also do it when I just think about homework. I wasn't like this at all before school. I am also depressed, stressed out, and nervous every/all day. It also gets worse almost every time I go to school. I'll probably start to get siezures and/or pass out if it gets worse. I think I just can't handle school with my shyness.

Just to let you in on a fact, many, many of the worlds smartest people never finished school. They dropped out of highschool, made something or started a business, got rich, and did whatever they want.

do you ever hear about the people who dropped out of school and were unsuccessful?

No.

That's not the point. The point is that not everyone is suited to school, and to say that all people who drop out of school are going to end up flipping burgers is simply not true.

It isn't good to drop out but if you think that option will have some positives. Then go for it.

A lot of people who drop out, usually end up working at BK or McDoanlds.

This thread is not to discuss how much wealth your parents have gotten for you. And is english your mother tounge? If so that was horrible.

Nope, I'm an Indonesian, and yes my English is horrible. I don't have wealth, I just lucky. I'm not talking about my family wealth, it just the fact.

I just want to say, you can be anything you want, by "Anthony Robbins".

I agree with all of u here, you can choose your own path, but you can't control the world.

I wait for the thread creator to join us, but I only have time on weekends.

Bill Gates was selling lemonade in the street, but his mind was thinking for the next 500 years, and he is correct. But now everybody need a PC, now, 1 PC is not enough. No internet, u looks like a crippled hero.

Yes, but dropping out of school is just not something you should do unless you have a surefire longtime plan in life.

Persevere, man, wait it out. Highschool rocks, for the most part. From my point of view, anyway.

Yes. My mom, she didn't finished the junior highschool and can't speak English, but still 'something'. Once again, I didn't talk about my family wealth, don't take it personally, I just want to show u guys 'a living legend' not 'a dead legend'.

Too bad most people didn't want to heard 'living legend', they like to read 'great people biography', as long as the guy in the biography already dead or didn't exist anymore.

do you ever hear about the people who dropped out of school and were unsuccessful?

no.

Yes, I know a lot of them not successful and have a 'oor' life, and I also know some of them are so filthy rich personally. I have a friend in Indonesia, he has no house and sleep in his store. His store is not a land, it's 3x1 meters square box. He sleeps there with his wife and a son. His first son was die because lack of nutrition. I lend him 'some' money, but I say to him, if you have the money, u can pay me back, but if you don't, don't push yourself to pay back my money. And he pay back a little money. God grace, he now can rent a small room, enough for 3 of them to sleep.

That's not the point. The point is that not everyone is suited to school, and to say that all people who drop out of school are going to end up flipping burgers is simply not true.

I agree, u can't get street smart in the school. Most 'REAL EXPERIENCE', u can't find it in the school. If you know a lot of history, math, any a lot of knowledge, didn't mean you 'HAVE REAL EXPERIENCE' about it.

For example: If you know South Pole is -40 degress and even if you read about South Pole like crazy everyday and you know everything about it, but one of your friend just come back from South Pole and saying 'South Pole is just -20 degrees now, it's quite hot there, not like what internet said'. THE Question: Will u respect your friend's fact? or will u run and keep reading on internet?

It isn't good to drop out but if you think that option will have some positives. Then go for it.

Yes, you have to know WHAT YOU WANT, WHEN, and WHY.

Like this. For example:

* What you want: A Ferrari, Red colour, Off the road.
* When will u get it: Next year? 2015? I don't know?
* Why: Why u want a Ferrari? do u really need it?

* Why Ferrari? with that amount of money, u can do a lot of things rather than just a Ferrari.

* When? it's very important, if you have a TARGET, 2015 u want a Ferrari, but u end up with a BMW or a family car, AT LEAST u get a car. But if you don't have a TARGET, even in year 2025 you don't have a car, becoz you don't know EXACTLY when and what.

A lot of people who drop out, usually end up working at BK or McDoanlds.

It is. It will be impossible for everyone to be rich, some of us will become an entrepreneur, some of us will choose a 'decent life', some of us even never had a chance to taste even one bit of Mc'Donald or BK. BK is not exist in Indonesia. I heard there are a lot of BK in Brazil.

You can use your money and time to do a lot of things and help a lot of people.

Regards.

Once again, I didn't ask you to drop your school, I finish my Bachelor degree in Indonesia and now taking Master in China, but I have to study Chinese for 2 years.

Remember this, even if you are so success, it will have no connection with your personal life, happiness is something else. My family is loaded, but now I want to slap my mother. But I think about it 1000 times before I slap her. But yes, my family is kinda twisted and I'm not so happy.

I was didn't planning to take my University degree, but I through that harsh time, it just not me, I'm not so academia, but still, some of friends thinking I'm kinda smart.

8 human brain capabilities (I think there is more, but 8 is enough for now):

1. Motoric: u like to do sport, martial art, flexibility and balance, they like to travel and camping, fishing etc.

2. Interpersonal: u r good with 2 persons relatinship, have some GOOD FRIEND. If u can have 5 GOOD FRIEND in your entire life, that would be awesome.

3. Intrapersonal: u r good with mass speech, have charisma, 'eople respect u' in some or other ways. U can feel 'ower' in what u say to other person.

4. Linguist: U like to learn culture, languages, understand other people and life like a local people(when u go abroad)

5. Jack-in-the-box: U like to 'fix, add or modified' stuff, from cars to alarm clock, PC and planes. U don't read books a lot, but you know a lot more than the books.

6. Calculator: like to count, imagine, think-to-the-future type, Bill Gates have 'hotographic memory', he can memorize NUMBER like when you taking a photo, I heard he can memorize 30.000 cars plate number, he is not even serious about it. Newton, Einstein and Stephen Hawkins/Hawkings(Sorry if I misspelled his name)

I forget the rest, just google it and search Tony Buzan's books.

for more reading: Tony Buzan. Man from Mars, women from Venus.

U can be in the top, but the hardest part is to 'like' yourself where ever you life. See u in the top, but don't forget, you are still the same person.

I don't know, why don't you go make a list. I'd say a low, low number but hey, if you really want to, no one can stop you.

go right ahead and drop out.

Or you can be a man and tough out 4 more years of high school hell.

A high school diploma is a must-have for any job other than burger flipping.
