No fancy formatting or links here, plain and simple. What is it that you think that every flash game should have? It's clear to see the differences between a rushed, and poorly made flash game and a well thought out one. So let the developers know, what do you think a flash game should have?

I want a flash game with a good story. Most flash games have a bad story or just don't have a story at all.

Joke answer:Penguins.

Real answer: I like games in which you gain strength throughout the game, usually through leveling. It's a good way of making the game less repetitive, as well as to give it better replayability.

Just a quick FYI-comment: I had a post similar to this for strategy games. If you're making a strategy game you might want to see if there are any useful comments there too.
Here it is.

PS: I'm not posting this because I want more comments in my thread, 'cus we're done with the part of the project in which we used this thread.

I would like a game where you could do missions and build a town and destroy enemys and make allies. No lag too.

I like games with a save feature and that I can still come back to even when I've beaten them.

I like seeing different game types in a single game, simply putting it:
Race mode, kill em all mode, collect golds mode, dodge furry little puppies that shoot spikes from their butt mode and so on. All based on same mechanics.

- simple games with nice controls
- not to much buttons on one screen
- not to much upgrades
- challenging games that begin easy and get more challenging each
lvl
- especialy in games with long lvls don't make the first 10-15 lvl
not a bid challenging, then a game gets quite boring and ppl
won't play it again as soon
- if you make "complicated" games hold text for upgrades etc simple
just write "attack" and number instead of 2 lines of text which
tell u that tha increases your attack by anything
- don't make every lvl the same and not a bid challenging, eg. i
quited Warlords 2: Rise of Demons after first 2-3 lvls because it
was the same like in warlord 1 and also just everytime the same,
the enemy sends, you antisent anything and then just send much on
a line to get more of the moral bar at the top, and knowing that
u will win every lvl without any probs
- make rpgs !!!
- but make movement speed fast enough that game does not get boring
just because of the fact the character is slow like a turtle
- make a nice story and a nice introduction with a demo, text or
video etc.
I quited many games just because of the fact that there was no
story at the begining and u just was running anywhere without a
reason -.-
- make nice strategy games !!!
- with nice economy
- with something you can see after each lvl like a map or smth.
that gives the player the feeling of being in real war somewhere
- give the player the ability to choose every lvl, in combo with a
map you could eg. make a capture able point like in tainted
kingdom (btw. im still waiting for a sequel of that game )
