Does anyone else own this game? If so, do you agree with me thqat it is one of the best RPGs of this year? I know it compares nothing to Baldur's Gate, but it's still a good game.
Ok. I travel with my hero (dwarwen warrior-two handed-berserker,reaver); THE DOG - seriously it kiks ass! A lot! Leliana - opening tresure chests is apparently not for dwarwen figters a mage (Wynne or Morrigan) - for huge AOE damage and generic support. Still some fighting were one sided for the PC; untill I understood that moving in advantageous position will easly change the outcome!!! I love the strategy involved in sleeping the archers while taking down the melee fighters! Or trowing the dog to OVERWHELM the mage!
I do not really understand what you mean by a conventional party makeup.
A conventional party would be one that evenly distributed roles between the different classes, for example a tank, a DPS, a Healer etc.
It's odd that you and your friends are encountering this problem whilst my friends and I had never heard about levelling problems until you stated you were having them. O_o
Here's a small secret. You and your friends do not represent the entire community of dragon age players, nor are you the benchmark for whether the game has faults or not.
I used it in the Origins story for the human noble, and against Giant Rats it was quite effective, I didn't know it actually got very good later in the game.

I killed Wynne in my main game, and Morrigan is pretty pointless and weak, so I do healing and big explosive attacks, meanwhile Sten and Allistar hit the really big numbers and Zevran uses the bow and picks locks.

I know that. >.> You just said it as if everyone besides you uses a conventional party makeup, including all the game testers and they shouldn't be doing that. All I am saying is that I have never heard of levelling problems, and if it was common more people would have found it and therefore I'd have known about it sooner or already.

Wrong. The thing you need most is a controller. Being overrun by 15 guards (try to steal not!!!) while being pincushioned by 10 archers is not fun. Try to stun the guards (and why not, put the archers in AOE of a damaging spell) and make them force a narrow passageway. Only then your Tank and Damagedealer will keep them at bay.
-Main Character : Mage, Arcane Warrior + Blood Mage Specializations The Arcane Warrior allows me to be really tough to kill but uses all the mana, while blood mage gives me the mana to throw spells on large groups ...
-Rogue : Leliana or Zevran, Ranger specialization (for the bear/spider),with bow, picks locks ...
-Healer : Spirit Healer Specialization; Wynne is the best healer but Morrigan can be good too...
-Warrior : Sten to make a lot of damages but this last member can change, I don't really have someone specific for this

And why would you know about it?

I kept it for the whole game, more out of a sense of sentimentality, and the fact I'd always wanted a dog but never had one when I was a kid! Still, reality aside, I think the dog is one of the game's best kept secrets. It's such a good tank, if you focus on strength and constitution. This combined with the abilities it learns later on makes it a most formidable creature.
Personally I liked this style the most, even though it was very challenging:
Me=DPS, a warrior with Reaver speciality atwo handed abilities. You are a damage machine.
Sten as another DPS who is also, needless to say a freaking beast, especially if you get him his sword.
Then you throw in a rogue with an assassin specialisation DPS (I used Zevran).
I then use Wynne as a healing mage.
The idea is, get in, do some collosal damage, and get out again. This is a difficult party to play, but by far the most fun, in my opinion.
I actually got a German Shepheard the other day, and named it the same as my dog on Dragon Age. Obviously that sounds pretty sad, but it's the name I've always wanted to give a dog of mine: Winston.
My ending was hilarious! You could not have gotten a worse ending than me.
- Arl Howe's place is dedicated to the Gray Wardens.
- After the war, darkspawn flees to the Deep Roads and travels to Orlais, where they cause their own destruction across continents. Gray Wardens are in Arl Howe's estate enjoying themselves. Orlais is in disarray, while Orzammar is functioning as usual since they are used to it.
- Alistair wasn't named leader, but the queen was. Her poor choices led to tensions between Denerim and RedCliffe.
- The Warewolves decide to invade Denerim because of their "continuous duty" to slay the Logain bloodline. Warewolves are extinct, but the queen is slain and Denerim is ALSO in disarray. There is no leader, and Alistair does not want to be king.
- The Qunari Tribes invaded the Dalish tribes, in which the Qunari takes over the homeland and the Dalish extinct.
- The Dwarven economy is in shambles. Lord Harrowmont dies of old age as king, so the entire squabble over the next king continues. Since I destroyed the anvil, dwarves scavenge the pieces and decide to rebuild it. The first golems created went insane, killing off those inside before being destroyed.
- I'm running around in the forests going "MORRIGAN...WHERE THE F ARE YOU!?"
No, I don't get that reference, but an alternative to choosing a badass name would be to go for irony. Choosing a name like fluffy, or something like that.
