For those who don't know AI = artificial intelligence, basically a machine that reacts as the human brain does. This means that it has to be able to learn and adapt to change. What I want to know is what AG thinks of it? Anyone automatically thinking of the Terminator and The Matrix?

well we will NEVER get AI in the near future...maybe in a couple 100 years but not soon. when you think about it... What is AI

artificial Intellagance

well artificial is the ovbious but the Intellegance part is tricky. You dont really think about it but intellegance isnt really Smarts or being able to learn. its is really Emotion or Feeling. Not just to learn but to conceive a situation or Matter and understand it. like a personality or Being. No a single Programming language could Write that Or computer be able to process that infomation

I know this was necroed, but there is some relevant information that could be added here.

Actually IBM is getting very close to creating AI.

We already have it though, just not one that mimics a human brain.

We already have robot that can interact with each other and have invented their own language to communicate between each other with.

we got that since john von neumann used binary code for the 1st time.
because of him we have computers now aday that can "talk" whit eatchother.

They don't "talk", they communicate, and they do so using a language we taught them, these robots made up their own language.

I dont think we can call it talk or communicate i think it's just basic interaction

It's not the word i would use either, i just used it for the sake of simplicity. Either way, the robots I'm talking about literally talk.

thats why i put "talk" between " " it's not talking it's communicating and interacting.

just like that.

i bet they use binary code to make those "sounds" or whatever you talk about.

I actually didn't notice your quotations.

They use speakers, but at the base of computers there is binary code, so yes, they do use binary code, but how is that relevant?

binary code made it possible for computers to interact whit eatchother.
whatever way that is doesn't matter they use that. befor binary code there were computers but they couldn't interact whit eatchother.

so the base of computers that we use today and will use for probably 100's if not 1000's of years is the binary code that connects them all.
