Well it's a real mess over there. 7.0 quake and tens of thousands dead and rising. I don't know about you but it seems like Earth is having more earthquakes, and they seem to get bigger every time. I guess this is what we get for abusing the Earth.

Save Power use less power! Going to work? Organize a Car Pool. Going to School? Get your parents to organize when you pick up your mates.It's time we start kicking butt for Mother Nature.
Well its not about the Earth Having revenge, more like someone decided its a good idea to build a city on a place where earthquakes are a common thing and that is just one example of the places people try to live...another is at the base of a volcano...such a Pompeii
its a third world country on an earth quake hotspot, who woulda guessed that they would get hammered. Before we spend millions to try and rebuild, lets wait for the final blow to hit Haiti so hard that theres nothing left to fall and we can just start from scratch.

My thoughts on the Equake are basically the same. 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake, and now later today the 6.1 After shock just sent more debree slowly tipping over to the floor. I saw this horrible video on Youtube about people crying as the earth shook, Not fun at all.
Haiti's got a tight history, though. The only successful slave revolution in the world! Sadly that kept them away from the rich people quit a while and they never really became anything, Haiti was, is, and probably will be for a long time under equipped to deal with anything that can be called a Disaster. A little earthquake would have been bad, but to make matters worse the poorest country in the western hemisphere goes boom on their capital with a 7.0 Mag. Earthquake.
Not to be mean about it, But in my opinion Haiti is a screwed place. Even when there is a Hurrican half the (already nearly busted) country is swept away, and its just a homeground for natural disasters.
Last Confirmed Body+Grave counted Death Toll I saw was 72K, but thats likely higher seeing as estimates are huge and I saw that number 7 hours ago. :S
By the way, the whole "Text Haiti to 90999" thing does really work! Its been sponsored on CNN and Google.com and junk like that -- I did it a while back They were commenting on how there's been something like 9Million+ from Text Messages -- more than what we threw out for the Katrina Hurricane.

sivilians make up a meager part of all the pollution made - factories make WAY more pollution.
The govt. is in debt not the people....the people are sending donations. Plus the red cross is an international org. so its not only us that are sending money.
