What's your opinion?

Both health-wise and economically?

In my opinion, while they're good for the economy providing millions of dollars in taxes, however according to most people they're bad for you health-wise. But, isn't everything bad for you in excess if you think about it eating fastfood isn't all that bad if you only eat it once in a while.

They're good. I mean the food is. It's also cheap. This means that they are good.

Health wise not so much. But honestly, I don't care. Their fault if they die from a heart attack.

I think they are good. sure they may be unhealthy but who cares? cheap unhealthy food is better than no food at all, right?

Cheap and keeps kids happy. I don't care much for health, but depending on what you eat there it may be considered "unhealthy"... If you eat a double wopper big mac or somthing every day then it whould probably be an issue...

But on the other hand since it's cheap and good (taste-wise) people are forgetting how to cook for them selves, I know people at my school who eat at home maybe one a month and even then it's frozen so all they need to do is heat it up with a microwave/oven.

neutral. Fast food is a good way to drive by, get a burger, and go back to work ASAP for a low price. Though It's not great food, or stellar service, it is great if you don't have a long break and you need to get back to work.

Most fast food places treat their workers like crap. I worked at Subway for 3 months and finally quit due to working conditions. There was not a single person there (other than the owner) who had worked more than a year at that place. We were told that we were expendable, we weren't really needed, and that firing us was easy. I've heard similar stories from most fast food chains. Despite my very limited budget, I avoid places that treat their workers like garbage. It might cost me a bit more, but I know its a good cause.

I worked at McDonalds for about a year. It was okay until we actually got real management (our old manager broke her neck, and it took like five months to replace her). So yeah, I know what you're talking about. But, on the other hand, fast food restaurants are practically always hiring. So if someone doesn't mind putting up with a few jerks, they can nearly always find a job. Its reasuring to know that I will always have fast food employment to fall back on... I guess. Honestly, I would rather work pretty much anywhere than fastfood again. But its nice to have options.

MSG. Zombie like manipulation

Cheap and keeps kids happy.

oh yea, i can see that people are really cheap. This what most of bad parents say: "Lets go buy junk-food, who cares if its bad, it makes the kids happy and we save money, cause what can possibly be better then money in life ?"

Is it better to eat crap food to save money or eat expensive food to keep healthy?

Lets see....we can say it this way: Want money or your life? I guess the choise is pretty obvious. People are too much on money.

cheap unhealthy food is better than no food at all, right?

well....im not rich and i don't eat junk-food :/ U don't need to be rich to go to a shop, buy your own food and cook it.

I can't say much for smoking but red wine is good for you once in a while and i'm sure you've heard of medicinal marijuana.

Fastfood jobs pay well and are easy enough most of the time, atleast where i live they do.

Or poor parents, parents who have lost jobs, parants that are in a hurry, and as I said it whould be bad to eat every day... and the kids are happy with the cheap peice of plastic that comes with it.

Yes.

I don't see how flipping a burger over can earn more than 7 dollars an hour. Please, another comment from you embarrassing yourself, just stop.

$7 is not enough. Subway, for instance, makes 9 billion in profit a year. With 230,000 total employees, they are making over $38,000 in profit off each employee. They score huge profits while paying minimum wage, treating workers like crap, and offering no benefits. It's immoral how much they, and other fast food companies exploit the people.

Missouri's minimum wage is $7.25. Remember there are some states that have minimum wages lower than the national minimum wage. And before you go and make yourself look like an idiot say it is illegal, if you don't belive me look up the laws on it.

The problem with our food is not how it is prepared, but more how it is grown. My family and extended family are cattle farmers and we raise natural cows. We do not pump them full of hormones to make an extra buck. However huge corporations do whatever they can to get that dollar. Also when you genetically engineer crops just so they can withstand the pesticides that naturally kill them do you really think it is good for us to be eating the stuff? Why do you think so many countries will not buy our tainted food? Sure, Brazil has worse practices but our agricultural industry has become very twisted indeed and little can be done about it because the corporations own so much of it. Laws need to be passed. Why do you think we have so much cancer? There are literally more people in prison than there are farmers. Get realistic and plant your own garden people!

Sorry, I had missed this part. Maybe it is just sold for a fair price instead of extortion. Ever think of that? You can spend $50 at a resturant and get worse food and service than at another location where you can spend $10.
