A lateral thinking puzzle is a puzzle where you have to think outside the box, and think of anything possible. In this thread I will give lateral thinking puzzles and you have to answer them. Every so often I will give a hint. I will keep score of the winners, and no using google, plz don't, it spoils the fun.
To figure out the answers, there may be a certain amount of yes or no questions for each one, and 1 or 2 hints for each one.
First Puzzle:
Jack and Jill were laying on the floor dead. The only things in the room were a broken bowl, and a puddle of water.
Sorry, my computer was broken. That one was too obvious lots of people have heard it.
A man lives on the seventeenth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the ground. In the evening he goes into the elevator, and if it is raining he goes directly back to the seventeenth floor. Otherwise he goes to the tenth floor and climbs up seven flights of stairs.
The man is a midget, and the stairs are outside, so if it's raining, he doesn't want to take the stairs. However, he can only reach the 10th floor button with his hand. If it's raining, however, he can press the 17th floor button with his umbrella.
Maybe the man was the priest that married each of the women to their husbands.
That is correct.
Isn't Ernie15 correct?
NO. Stop saying who is correct especially if it's wrong.
Next: 4 men were walking to a village. It started to rain, and the first 3 quickened their pace. The 4th man made no attempt to go faster, yet they all reached the village at the same time.
