If I remember correctly, it's just XY. Male by chromosomes, female by everything else. I believe this also results in infertility. XXY is a male disorder, as said.

On the topic of hormones being the reason for sexual preference shouldn't someone who likes the same gender be of the opposite gender if this were true? seeing how hormones determine our gender in the first place.
Well the hormones are enough to cause the person to effect there brain determining there sexual orientation but not enough to effect the rest of there physical development. So you end up with someone with a sexual preference to the gender they themselves are. So I suppose what transsexuals say "feeling like there a man/woman trapped in the opposites body" might not be to far from the truth.

I find that a bit iffy. The idea of getting just enough hormones to change sexual orientation but nothing else seems a tad unlikely and overly simplistic.

People are often afraid of things they don't understand, plus when someone uses a name for someone as a pseudo-curse word it catches on and people start to hate what it really is.
Exactly. People are afraid of what they don't understand, this leads to a phobia. Due to them not knowing what it is they get scared and start to insult other people for doing what they want. (sexual preference) Many people use the bible as a reference that homosexuality is wrong, and straights are right, thus if your gay you go to hell. This is wrong, God states do what's right in your heart. I personally believe sexuality is the persons preference, and God is okay with it. If you want to go exactly as the bible states then multiple people are going to hell. It states don't hate on others, your hating on gays.
