Anyways I was hoping, that we should make all those 0AP account disappear i mean seriously, I'm on 17 AP AND I'M ALREADY IN TOP 60,000. I know there will be complaints but how about we give them a email, if they don't post in a month they go? I think it would be fair although I wanted just 1 week, but, I know people will think that is to small. Please tell me if there are any flaws in my plan.
Leo, never do that AGAIN. That clearly breaks the rules and you know it.
So know i ask, why should we make them disappear? I mean they don't really do anything severe to the site like slowing it down, making it lag, or anything like that stuff. We should just let them be, what if the person who made the account decided to come back? What if they wanted to log into their account and post on the forums or something? Just to find out that they're account was deleted and then, would probably get pissed off. Deleting accounts is not needed here, now please just shut your trap, this is getting annoying.
Oh yeah and sorry, being tired is annoying, doesn't make me think properly.
And for the purpose of allowing accounts to be created with usernames that aren't taken. For example I wanted to be "lol" when I joined but then I found out it was taken . Come on be considerate here. link

So, let's see... Ghosts should be completely deleted, so that some names are given free, which is something we don't do normally because of the banned accounts. To be completely fair the banned accounts could be deleted completely too, because they too are there without being used, but that would give people a headache.
Indeed. But it gives the before mentioned problem with new users perhaps picking a name of a permanently banned user. Users who knew the permabanned person could have a strong bias towards that person, and in severe coincidences mods might have the same too.
I can't believe people are still discussing this. We give the same answers and nit pick the little things...

Come on, if you really want a username, then I recommend simply adding a number to the back of the name.

If someone were to give themselves as fst6 here (Which you can bet some older users might do as a joke), we'd have quite a bit of shouting and shouting in the community. And Cen is right, we usually don't like people when they have the same name as someone you think is mean (Ex: You hate Jacks because there's a Jack in your class that beats you up).
To be fair permanently banned accounts should just be deleted.
That be like deleting the file of a criminal after he dies: We keep it for future references. You never know when his Profile might come in handy.
because it is awesome, and no one has any new and original suggestions, so we just stick with what has been given us.
As I see it, there are two reasons for this: Space and names. If there was an actual problem with the space, it would be fixed. No one knows how much space AG has outside the staff, so the staff is most likely the first to do something the moment they need more space. Names is not a very good reason to delete anything, and the moment there are links from a name to a former user, it will create problems. So I deem this a dead horse.
