Albert Einstien? The Wright Bros? Quentin Tarantino?
Bill Gates?
Look at the other 100+ Million that have dropped out and failed.
That's the pessimistic way of looking at it. True, if we didn't have school, we probably wouldn't have the ideas for our more useful products, but if we didn't have drop-outs, we wouldn't have people to assemble them.
I wonder what would happen if a person actually didn't know he was overqualified for his dream job.
It's bad. Really bad. They get all depressed and pissed off at the world and wonder why they aren't even getting phone calls.
First hand experience.
I find school to be an utter waste of my time. I have better things to be doing than sitting in a classroom with a bunch of idiots who can barely add 2 + 2. I'm far superior to nearly everyone I know, including (rather sadly) many of the teachers. They teach me stuff I already know, and if they teach me something new on rare occasion, I lock onto it like a vice, and know it within ten minutes.
If I had access to more challenging schooling I wouldn't think that it's a steaming pile of bull.
And most of the people are borderline retarded, with behavioral problems that made mine look like an apple pie. These people take trouble to a whole new level, and manage to drag me down with them half the time.
The only good thing about my school is the food. We have good food. It's probably only okay food, but at my old school we had deplorable food, so I guess it's like walking from hot to cold and it feeling much colder than it is.
everyone around you goes out out of their way to act like ignorant bast*rds.
I couldn't have put it better myself.

That's a rarity.

I'm almost the same way, but I more absorb it than lock onto it, you know... passively.

Hell, man, most of the people down here are ACTUALLY retarded, and this is supposed to be the smart school. The morons who make trouble tend to keep to themselves here, at least.
No it'd be "I really don't see why being dumb is the now a days"[quote]
how being dumb is "in". Because if your dumb, you drop out, making your cool rate skyrocket, then you join a gang, making it go a little higher, then you do drugs, making it go a little higher, then you get arrested, making it go a little higher once again, then you get called an idiot by everyone, making you commit suicide. Long sentence eh?
