Phacon, you have good enough English for me to understand clearly, it's not you, I'm talking about xD PanzerTank, uh... you've got some interesting teachers there xD Whoa, I just noticed I say xD too much xD
Panzer, you might want to get your parents on some of those teachers. >.>
English is not very important beyond a 5th-6th grade level.
I could be wrong, but they teach you the more advanced versions of English right up until college. It may be good enough to understand, but you won't have most of the more advanced techniques down.
my class is the rudest most ignorant class in the whole school.
Sounds like my fifth period class, except they do it for no reason. They should all die. Maybe not die, but have something happen prohibiting them from coming to class. Maybe brain damage.
Oh wait, they don't have brains. That can't happen.
I totally wrote a poem and some foul language on my papers with sole intention of getting me out of there. If I get a school psychologist meeting for just one fifth period, I will do something that implies me being happy.
I don't really care about the psychologist, just the getting out of class.
We had one of those state test a couple of weeks ago, and they gave us 45 mins to do 8 questions.
State testing sucks. 4th, 8th, and 12th grade. Each getting stupider every time, it hurts more than helps, it kills lower class schools, as higher grades = more money. just another way to single out the poorer or less fortunate.
Here in Tex, we have at least 2, Math and Reading, every year, this year I also have writing and science, all starting in April, which is when I have my first job interview also, go figure, five wastes of time in a single month.

I really hope that that isn't how it works, but it seems like it might be.

Yet another from Texas. Go figure.
Welcome to the club!
Anyways, we have our Reading, Math, and Writing tests to take next month. Another day of sitting in a room doing one question per ten minutes and still having three hours of nothingness. -.-
Hmm... Well the teachers here are pretty cool, we can do whatever quietly when we're all done with TAKS, and we can pretty much go out and party if everyone in school finishes, but that hasn't happened in as long as the test has been given.
Don't they care if they fail? What kind of parents would raise children like that? Especially in a society that's becoming ever more competitive for a stable job, let alone a good one?
My teachers are horrible hyprocrits, swearing, calling us stupid, saying were the worst class in the school, and one time throwing kids belongings on the ground and whenever I do any of these I get a suspension or a detention.
haha I get the reference XD
School is important for jobs and money and further bettering society and possibly technology as a whole. The work you do in class helps you learn the material given in a class. It doesn't necessarily show that you know it, but that's what tests are for. Tests reflect how much you know of that particular subject. If you are getting A's in the majority of your tests, no one should really question you on that.
Then there's the matter of the difficulty of the curriculum...

Their parents are normally good people, it's just the problem of them. They don't care for anything. They fail at everything, and are fails.
About a quarter of the people at my school are normal, but the rest are borderline or completely out there. It makes me sad really.

I imagine it would also have to do with the intellect of the individual, as there are people in my Algebra class who don't understand a thing that my teacher is saying, yet I get it perfectly.

I remember reading a Coastie maxim that said something along the lines of "When you can't save everyone, try and save those with the most potential."
