I am hanging out with my friends. And we are all talking and skating together, then i hear a "buzzzz" "buzzzzz" and suddenly, in the middle OF MY SENTENCE there is another person miles away that my friend would rather talk to. I ask "who was that" and i get the answer "oh that was just the moron chris, he never stops texting me" HE didn't even want to hear what this person was saying!! but he thought it was still more important than what i had to say. i really think texting is just going to make it hard for us to talk to people in person. it is an important skill to have. A job interview, or if you manage to get a job you can't text your boss to ask for a promotion, it would be better to ask him in person. texting is just killing our people skills
Remember people, that texting is meant for friends and family members, not those in authority such as bosses and employees in the know. XVERB and others that said this, I'm looking at you.
I text all the time. Why talk when all you need to do is submit one single notification? Talking for 3 seconds is pointless. If you are planning on communicating with more than one person, talking is pointless. There are qualities in texting that are much more desirable than in regular talking. People say all the time "why text when you can talk on the phone", well I say "why talk on the phone when you can talk face to face"? It can go the same why if you want to play that game.
yes but if people get in the habit of saying important things over text they will lack the ability to talk in person about important things like breaking up or asking someone on a date. then as they get older it will turn into asking for a promotion and things like that
I Like Texting, it's way faster than talking, you text faster than you can talk. The only time i talk, is when i'm asleep talking to myself saying "I am the master of Armor Games..."

I don't find it likely that our generation will be turned into one of crazy texters who can't talk.
with t9 word its fairly easy to do with a regular keyboard but i have a keyboard so im text about 30 words per min......
its kinda a a way to talk to girls when there in a place where they cant talk... but if im at home and the girls at home i just call her, makes life a whole lot esier

my phones touchscreen, so its got the keyboard on the screen and i cant use t9 worth crap. I never could. how do people use it when your frequently deleting words or letters that you didnt mean to put there?
Texting, to me is more easier cuz theres always something to talk about unlike talking to that person on the phone u have to think about a topic to talk about. Its hard to explain..
