DING DING DING
Looks like we have a winner!
Not guilty for lack of evidence!
Any "2 penny lawyer" should know this.

Haha.

Why would you be in court in the first place then?!

From what I understand, a hacker has some illegal music files and he puts them into your PC. That wouldn't even be a reason for getting into a court battle. So even though they would have a lack of evidence and you would win, WHY WOULD YOU GO TO COURT IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Oh, that is unless you actually download the files from a computer that can be traced to you.

Because...
Italian justice is far worse than American.
We had a case of one person getting out of charges by claiming it was "a bad hacker" the one that did it. He was free to go.
But good luck finding on the web, I tried, but it seems that it could not be found.

That's ridiculous and not to mention, unfair. Did the person prove that he/she didn't download files? Oh well.

It's stupid really, they can't track people without a warrant, it's an obstruction of my rights. And if they approved that warrant, then I would think they have it for something more serious than stealing audio files. In any case, the general consumer is already punished because of people stealing audio, because the price of music went up. There is actually a tax that the record companies put on it, in addition, to cover the loss they receive from people getting music for free.
And since when did music become an industry T_T Why can't people just make people happy and let them listen to music. If they asked for donations they would get money. Albeit, maybe not as much, but who cares.

Why would someone be charged more for downloading gay porn? that makes no sense. Also, no, she wasn't charged for downloading gay porn.

Even though it's illegal, almost no one buys music, only CD's, but songs get downloaded, from 90% of people that download music, only 10% buys music.

Well, artists do deserve money for the effort they put into music.

I would be happy to buy music if the prices were, say, a bit lower...

I don't really think so Kurt, though we all know that companies only target major offenders who upload.

80k is just obscene honestly.
